Tricia Helfer in Burn Notice by Dan Littlejohn/USA Network Photo
As part of her holding deal with Fox, Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica) has landed the female lead in Inseparable, a drama pilot from Shaun Cassidy (Invasion) and revolving around a partially paralyzed forensic psychiatrist (Lloyd Owen) with a Jekyll-and-Hyde-type split personality. (His alter ego is a master criminal, and one not at all paralyzed, I would guess. Not that the partially paralyzed cannot serve as capable crooks; I just imagine it would impair the traditionally desired "quick getaway." But I digress.)Per the Reporter, Helfer whom I actually just spied while screening the most excellent Burn Notice season premiere will play a shrink who evaluates suspects for the police and thus, probably on more than one occasion, casts a curious eye on Owen's antihero. Tricia Helfer's post-Cylon career is heating up.Sources confirm to me exclusively that the Battlestar Galactica babe has landed a multi-episode arc on USA Network's fraktastic Burn Notice, which launches its second season on July 10. Helfer will play Carla, Michael's sleek, sexy and lethal "handler," who often comes across as unaffected and slightly amused by him. Teases series creator Matt Nix: "To protect the people he loves, Michael is forced to work for Carla his only link to the people behind his burn notice."Helfer, who recently inked a talent holding deal with Fox (which produces Burn Notice), will juggle her Burn duties with the final season of BSG which is easier said than done considering BSG shoots in Vancouver and BN in Miami. But that's what first-class cabins were made for, right?Burn Notice and Tricia Helfer does it get any better than that? Well, does it?!

Fox has signed Battlestar Galactica beauty Tricia Helfer to a one-year talent holding deal, as part of which she will star in a series for the network, likely a drama.Fox casting boss Marcia Shulman tells the Reporter that Helfer "wowed" the crowd last spring with her role in the passed-over sci-fi pilot Them. Later, upon spying Helfer in the indie Walk All Over Me, Shulman noted, "She had a pretty remarkable range, she showed vulnerability and strength. She is a star." What's your take? Does Helfer have the goods to soar far beyond Battlestar? MWM

Stephanie Jacobsen, Jamie Bamber and Katee Sackhoff, Battlestar Galactica: Razor
Battlestar Galactica's TV-movie gives the show's rabid fans a hint of what's to come.
Tired of waiting for Battlestar Galactica to frakking return already? The fourth and final season of Sci Fi Channel's space opera won't start until April, but a special two-hour extended episode — Battlestar Galactica: Razor (Saturday, Nov. 24 at 9 pm/ET on Sci Fi) — arrives Nov. 24 to bring relief to the show's hard-core addicts.
It's also a chance to raise the dead. Razor flashes back to the eve of the first devastating attack on humans by the robotic Cylons, when Helena Cain — the deliciously maniacal admiral played by Michelle Forbes — was helming the battlestar Pegasus. Cain, or "Saddam Hussein i

TVGuide.com has learned exclusively that Tricia Helfer has joined the cast of Them, the Fox pilot being shepherded by her Battlestar Galactica boss, David Eick, and concerning sleeper cells of extraterrestrial terrorists. Previously announced to the cast are James D'Arcy, Rachel Nichols, Ben Feldman and Reg Rogers. Before you start speccing on what this means for BSG's Six, TVGuide.com has it on good authority that if Them gets picked up in May, it's entirely possible that Helfer who will go dark (meaning brunette) for this new gig, which she starts shooting Monday could do double duty, seeing as how, you know, Eick is a big cheese at both shows. Out-of-this-world hottie Helfer on two TV series? That I'm not sure the human race could handle.Speaking of BSG, here's an update on the Caprica prequel, posted over the weekend.
