After Brianna and Joaquin's father is released from jail, he arrives at the house and emerges as a man very different than imagined. In the meantime, the Colonel falls for Edna and sets out to woo her with Brown's help.
After a night out, Sasha returns home in a boozy state, to Brianna's utmost surprise. Elsewhere, Brown and the Colonel attend an art class. If that wasn't shocking enough, one of them then serves as the nude model.
Will has a secret: He takes hush-hush salsa-dancing lessons in an effort to take Sasha out to a party, but Sasha suspects he's spending the time cheating on her. Meanwhile, the Colonel and Edna hope to leave Brown Meadows and move in together elsewhere.
Will and Sasha discover that Briana has been taking birth-control pills, and they clash over how to manage the situation. In addition, Cora takes an exercise class, but her true motive is to inch closer to an old high-school friend.
Brianna and her friend attend a fraternity party---but Brianna is victimized by a frat brother. Elsewhere, Brown decides to fire Jesus because of budgetary constraints. But that move backfires when Brown then competes with Jesus for a hospital job.
When Will falls ill, his mother (Jenifer Lewis) arrives, but her old-school, Southern-style remedies are a bitter pill to swallow for Sasha. And Daisy goes missing, a development made more serious considering her declining mental state.
Accusations of blame are directed at Will when Joaquin's ex-baseball coach dies on his operating table. Meanwhile, gym teacher Reggie (Maurice G. Jones) sets out to woo Cora, but Brown doesn't feel Reggie makes the grade.
