An "Affair" to Forget: Gossip Site Apologizes to Parker

Tony Parker and Eva Longoria Parker by Johnny Nunez/

X17 Online, which in December gave an unvetted source a forum to cast aspersion on Tony Parker's fidelity to new bride Eva Longoria, now has issued a mea culpa — though you would be hard-pressed to unearth it on their site. Buried far from the homepage, posted without anything resembling a headline and riddled with bad grammar and "various" typos, X17's perhaps lawsuit-induced statement reads, "[We] published over 10 articles concerning Tony Parker and a woman named Alexandra Paressant.... Since the publication of these articles, [we] have discovered that Mr. Parker has never met with, or spoken to, Ms. Paressant, nor has he ever had sexual relations with her. [We] regret having been misled... and apologize to Mr. Parker for any damage or inconvenience this may have caused him or his wife."Shortly after X17 ran with Paressant's original tale, the Parkers filed a lawsuit seeking $40 million in damages. — MWMRelated:• Parker Sues Website, Says He "Never Laid Eyes" on Mi... read more

Eva's Tony Sues Website for $40 Mil, Says He "Never Laid Eyes" on Mistress

Perhaps realizing that the statement he originally issued reeked of a nondenial that he cheated on bride Eva Longoria, Tony Parker has sued the gossip site that gave French model Alexandra Parresant a forum. "It never happened," says the lawsuit, which seeks $40 million in damages. "And X17 [Online] had to know that the story was false, or, at the very least, it had to have entertained serious doubts about the credibility of its supposed source." (Watch related video here.) The suit claims X17 never contacted the couple or their peeps before running with the tale, and refused to retract it after being told the claims were false."Tony adamantly and unconditionally denies ever having laid eyes on this woman, let alone having had an affair with her," Parker's lawyer told the AP on Wednesday. As for Paressant's story that she first fielded a pass from the NBA star at his own nuptials, "There were a lot of people at the wedding," says the lawyer. "Did they remember seeing her at the wedd... read more

Eva Stands by "Perfect Husband" Amid Affair Buzz

Tony Parker and Eva Longoria by Maury Phillips/

Desperate Housewife Eva Longoria is standing by her man, even as a story makes the rounds that Tony Parker has been "double-dribbling" with a French model he met at his own wedding. In two of several MySpace messages cited by X17Online, Parker allegedly wrote to Paressant, "Are you coming or not? I would love to see you" and "Come; I'm at the Park Hyatt."Longoria's rep qualifies the allegations as "completely, 100 percent false and untrue," and claims, "This is not the first time [Paressant] has sued an athlete to gain public notoriety."In response to the gossip, Eva says in a statement to People, "Tony has been nothing short of the perfect husband," while Parker himself maintains, "I love my wife... and I have never been happier." read more

Eva Longoria and Tony Parker Tie the Knot

This was a wedding that would have started tongues wagging on Wisteria Lane. Desperate Housewives’ Eva Longoria and NBA star Tony Parker capped off two separate civil and religious ceremonies over the weekend with a star-studded bash at a 17th-century château outside Paris. On Friday afternoon Longoria, 32, and Parker, 25, exchanged vows in a civil ceremony, a requirement under French law. Paris Mayor Bertrand Delanoë, who officiated at the intimate city hall service before fewer than 30 friends and family members, doesn’t normally do weddings. “Their celebrity cannot escape me," he said on French television. “But for me they're just Eva and Tony, two young people who love each other.”They may be just another couple in love, but their nuptials were anything but ordinary. Over 200 guests — including Ryan Seacrest, Jessica Alba, Sheryl Crow, Phoenix Suns player Boris Diaw, and Dancing with the Stars' Mario Lopez and Karina Smirnoff — assembl... read more

Bridezillions! Eva Longoria Says "I Do" to Photo Deal

Tony Parker and Eva Longoria by Chris Weeks/

The winning tabloid in the Eva Longoria wedding-pics sweepstakes is... OK! Magazine, which paid north of $2 million for dibs on the photos, sources tell the New York Post. People was a runner-up in the bidding, but was reportedly crippled by unflattering editorial coverage of groom-to-be Tony Parker (of the San Antonio Spurs). The lavish affair is set to take place July 7 at a castle in Paris. I know, you're thinking, "Isn't that a lot of money for wedding photos?" But I have it on good authority that the coverage will include some (or perhaps all) of the following: Eva in a bridal gown, white in color; Eva and Tony playfully feeding each other wedding cake; and Eva meeting Tony at the foot of a spiral staircase.
