Tommy Lee, Battleground Earth
Tommy Lee saving the planet? "It's not your normal thing to go cruising around doing, especially for a guy like me," laughs Mötley Crüe's wildman drummer, who stars alongside rapper Ludacris in the new Battleground Earth (Sundays at 10 pm/ET, Planet Green), a humorous yet educational competition series about the guys' efforts to go green.
TV Guide: Why'd you get involved with Battleground Earth?Tommy Lee: I swore I wouldn't do another reality show, because I just did 'em [NBC's Tommy Lee Goes to College and CBS's Rock Star: Supernova]... but this is way more like a documentary. It's informative, educational, and it was another chance for me to learn about all this green stuff. Because to tell you the truth, bro... I only knew a little bit about this or that.
TV Guide: Can you sum up the show?Lee:

Boys will be
stupid. On L.A.'s Kevin and Bean morning show, Kid Rock blamed MTV and the Baywatch babe's other ex, Tommy Lee, for his recent bout. The cabler kept him in too-close proximity with the Mötley Crüe drummer, he claimed, and when he and Anderson were splitting up, Lee allegedly swiped Pam's BlackBerry and used it to send his successor naughty messages. (Talk dirty to me, indeed.) Rock added that what started the brawl was Lee's mouth: Tommy "was doing what he does best... talk." If this keeps up, Lee just might agree to a Las Vegas promoter's indecent proposal: a fight during which the rivals would trade blows until one of them is knocked out. The "winner," TMZ reports, would receive $1 million; the loser, the digits of Mini Britney, who's been tapped to be the ring girl.

According to MTV.com, a San Diego judge ruled on Tuesday that the producers of CBS' Rock Star: Supernova must come up with an alternate name for the band composed of Tommy Lee, Jason Newsted, Gilby Clarke and the winner being crowned tonight. Last month, Supernova, a punk trio from Orange County, California, filed for a preliminary injunction halting the Rock Star quartet from performing or recording as Supernova if the band fails to modify its name. (Sorry, Tommy, I already have dibs on "Supernova: Our Take.") Yesterday's ruling acknowledged that "the marks are identical, the parties operate in very similar or identical markets, the [name] Supernova is distinctive and therefore strong, and there is evidence of actual confusion in the market." The group now-never-to-be-known-as Supernova is slated to launch a tour December 31 in Las Vegas, complete with $85 concert shirts that say "?"
