Survivor's James: Colby "Didn't Want to Be There"

After suffering what turned out to be a torn anterior cruciate ligament in last week's reward challenge on Survivor, James Clement seemed like a dead man walking. With four immunity-challenge losses to the Villains tribe, the last thing the Heroes needed was to keep an injured player. However, thanks to his strong alliance within the tribe, James was saved and Tom Westman was eliminated. Unfortunately, even after Colby Donaldson made a speech to the Heroes tribe about his impending exit, James was the one voted out because of his knee injury. The 32-year-old Clement spoke with TVGuide.com about Colby's lackadaisical attitude, his argument with Stephenie LaGrossa and who he thinks is the "Kareem Abdul-Jabbar of Survivor."

Survivor's Tom: "It's a Tough Way to Go Out of the Game"

As a Survivor hero, Tom Westman seemed to have it all: great physical ability, a strong social game and $1 million from winning Survivor: Palau. Unfortunately for the 46-year-old former firefighter, the last factor proved to be his undoing. After using a hidden immunity idol to save himself during last week's tribal council, Tom had his torch put out when the opposing alliance proved too big to defeat. As Tom said, "I was not going quietly into the dark night so they needed to get rid of me." The fallen hero spoke with TVGuide.com about why he was sent home, his predictions for ally Colby and the reason he almost didn't return for Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains...read more

Survivor's Cirie on J.T.'s Betrayals, the Power of Camaraderie, and Triple Threats

Cirie Fields of Survivor: Panama and Survivor: Micronesia is living proof of the importance of the social game in Survivor. Although she never stood out in physical challenges, the 39-year-old made it far on both seasons thanks to her close observations, smart alliances and manipulative skills. Unfortunately, Cirie's Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains tribe mates were on to her from the very beginning, and it only took three votes to send her home after Tom played his immunity idol and teamed with Colby and J.T. to send her home. Cirie talked with TVGuide.com about the blind-side vote, J.T.'s flip, and her tribe's many "alpha males...read more

Survivor's Stephenie: Heroes "Are Definitely Going to Turn into Villains"

After two brutal immunity challenges loses and two dramatic tribal councils, the heroes of Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains are beginning to look less, well, heroic. Despite her alliance with Tom and Colby, Stephenie LaGrossa couldn't save herself from the wrath of Rupert and James. "It's a game, and you want to win, but you want to enjoy your experience out there, because it's miserable as it is," she told TVGuide.com. "And being around people like James and Rupert really did make it unbearable."

Following last night's heated tribal council and her early exit, the 29-year-old also discussed what went wrong during the immunity challenge, the deep divisions within the heroes tribe, and her and Tom's now-defunct plan to... read more

Survivor's Sugar: This is My Payback for Gabon

Two years ago on Survivor: Gabon, Jessica "Sugar" Kiper made it to the final three, thanks in part to the large amount of time she spent on Exile Island. Not only did she find an important hidden immunity idol on the island, but she was able to peacefully remove herself from the competition and make it to the finals without any aggressive strategy. On Survivor: Heroes and Villains, she wasn't so lucky, becoming the first castoff of the new season after getting too close for comfort with some of her fellow Heroes (namely a very irritated Colby). Sugar talked with TVGuide.com about her supposed flirtation with Colby, her emotion after losing the immunity challenge and her failed alliances... read more

Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains: A Battle 10 Years in the Making

Survivor often has boiled down to power struggles between perceived good and evil. So it made sense to host/executive producer Jeff Probst to celebrate the show's 10-year anniversary and 20th season with the Heroes vs. Villains edition.

"Heroes vs. Villains was a great idea from the get-go and I think we all knew it," Probst says. "It captures what Survivor really has become about, the good versus the bad."

September 28, 2006: Survivors, Ready?

Survivor aficionados know there's a certain lingo that goes along with the show. For some it's comforting, for others, mind-numbingly repetitive. Me? I like it. Jeff's catchphrases are a constant that I can rely on each week as the number of castaways dwindles. That said...First things first: We couldn't move on from last week's show without finishing up Billy's love story. Back at camp, Aitu continued to dismiss the love, and the next day, after the tribes merged, Cecilia went directly to Candice to get the scoop. Needless to say, this love was one-sided. Again, I cannot wait for the reunion show. With that cleared up, Jeff uttered those three little words that change the game every single time. Drop your buffs! That's right, segregation is over. Survivor put as much effort into contriving the makeup of these two new tribes as they did with the first four. Grab a tile from the bag, do a schoolyard pick, but only choose a person who has yet to be represented on your new team. Squeeze... read more
