Why hello strangers Its been ages since Ive blogged about this show 105 months to be exact Im hoping that most of you will agree that the Season 5 premiere was well worth the wait especially after all the hype and advance publicity awesome job by the way FX After four seasons in Miami it was a welcome change of pace seeing our favorite nippers and tuckers start anew in our countrys plastic-surgery capital Los Angeles As we expected Christian Julian McMahon and Sean Dylan Walsh started out as small fish in an extremely large pond once they hit LA or to be exact Beverly Hills It was crickets and tumbleweeds for McNamaraTroys new Rodeo Drive offices until Fiona McNeil came along One of the things that helps you make it here in Hollywood is a powerful publicist so meeting Fiona in that nightclub was excellent timing Right away I have to point out the fabulous casting of Lauren Hutton as Fiona Lauren is one of the few actresses over 60 in this town wh read more

Is it 1994? I think it must be, because lately Tia Carrere is popping up everywhere — well, if not everywhere, at least on two shows I cover, and I only cover three, so if she shows up on Friday Night Lights, I know something's up. Between her hanging out with Larry David (cocreator of Seinfeld, coincidentally on in 1994) and Kelsey Grammer (Frasier, also on in 1994) in recent weeks, I just have to wonder if I've been witness to a time warp. She did a cute job tonight, playing a woman — not a hooker, apparently — who almost managed to seduce Chuck, so it's a shame she was rather underutilized.Of course, had she actually managed to "take a ride on the Chuck wagon," as Montana so delicately put it, we wouldn't have been able to see that Chuck is, at heart, a decent guy. Sure, he only took Ryan out to dinner to prove to Kelly that he didn't donate the rude gene to Gracie, and yes, he did repeatedly try to hurry up and ditch this dinner to be with Carrere's unnamed hottie... read more

Folks, I attempt to make this a family-friendly blog, so I'm not going to quote any of Leon's advice to Larry about how to best deal with the skinhead (advice that included spray-painting and eating Snickers bars inside of said skinhead's southern orifice), but I will say that the whole thing had me laughing so hard, I was afraid I might hurt myself. Luckily I'm OK, because I certainly didn't want to end up in the doctor's office where I'd be quizzed on my bathroom habits. I do have to agree with Larry, Loretta, Leon and Aunt Rae, though, that anything less than two-ply is wholly unsuited for human use and is at the same level as the Port Authority.Compared to last week's episode, in which everything tied together so tidily at the end, tonight's episode wasn't quite as neat. Truth be told, Tia Carrere didn't mind being the fifth celeb kicked off ABC's Dancing with the Stars (Thursdays and Fridays at 8 pm/ET). "I get to spend time with my baby," she says of her 4-month-old daughter, Bianca. "It's the hardest thing leaving her." Besides, Carrere already won the best prize of all — a newly svelte body, losing 25 pounds in the two months she fox-trotted for the cameras.
