In 1988, he co-founded The State at NYU. In 1995, the sketch-comedy troupe found a home on MTV.
Co-created Comedy Central's Reno 911! and Viva Variety, as well as MTV's The State with Ben Garant and Kerri Kenney.
Met Kenney at a summer theater camp when they were 16.
With Garant, he co-wrote the screenplays for several movies including Taxi (2004), Herbie: Fully Loaded (2005), The Pacifier (2005), Let's Go to Prison (2006), Night at the Museum (2006), Balls of Fury (2007) and Reno 911!: Miami (2007).
Owns seven pairs of the short shorts that his Reno 911! character sports on the show.
