At the end of the first episode of Fox's new drama Gang Related (Thursday, 9/8c), viewers may be left wondering whether they should actually be rooting for the main character, Det. Ryan Lopez, according to star Ramon Rodriguez.
"In the pilot, something very dramatic happens early on," Rodriguez tells TVGuide.com. "I think people will question, is he a good person? Is this a good guy? But...
Terry O'Quinn is accustomed to playing characters who live in a moral gray area (or smoky black area, as the case was on Lost). But on the new Fox drama Gang Related, O'Quinn's character doesn't even realize how murky the waters he inhabits really are.

Fox's upcoming drama Gang Related is out to break down stereotypes.
The series, from the Fast and the Furious franchise scribe Chris Morgan, follows members of the Los Angeles Police Department's elite gang task force as they take on the area's most dangerous gangs. The Wire'sRamon Rodriguez stars in the ensemble as Ryan Lopez, a cop who has risen in the ranks without his team knowing that he's also strongly tied to one of the city's toughest gang led by Javier Acosta (Cliff Curtis). With the clan he's grown up with on one side and his police squad on the other, Ryan constantly finds himself torn between what's right and wrong and where he ultimately belongs.
Fox has set premiere dates for 24: Live Another Day, Gang Related and Surviving Jack.
The Kiefer Sutherland-fronted event series, which recently added Dexter and Chuck alum Yvonne Strahovski to its cast, will debut with a special two-hour premiere on Monday, May 5 at 8/7c. Live Another Day will make its timeslot debut the following week on Monday, May 12 at 9/8c.
