Jennifer finds a troubled Jack, who is distraught off of his ordeal with Abigail. Jennifer is hesitant at first, but approaches and asks if he’s okay. He explains what Abigail said – how she basically disowned him and the truth is… he deserved it! He’s been a lousy father who has hurt his family beyond repair. Jack explains exactly what happened, how he learned that Chad was a DiMera and flipped out. Jennifer tries to tell Jack that just because he’s a DiMera doesn’t mean he’s evil. Jack disagrees, stating that Stefano always gets his way… Jennifer gently notes Jack didn’t take after his father – so how is it fair to condemn Chad? Jack admits this is true. Bottom line is that he blew it with Abigail and he really thinks she’s done with him. Jennifer reminds him that he’s her father and nothing will change that. Their daughter just needs time to figure things out. Jack eyes Jennifer and quietly asks: does the same apply to her, too? At the Brady Pub, Brady and Sami introduce Madison James to Caroline. Kate arrives and learns Madison has also leased space for her headquarters in the new town square. Kate is horrified, but more so when Nate Berkus shows up and Madison reveals that Nate is an old friend and her designer. But it’s Kate who has the last laugh when she drops the bomb that she stole Mad World’s Japanese distribution deal. Kate goes and Brady wants to know what an enigmatic Madison is going to do… Nicole has set up an interview for EJ with Terri Seymour, but they’re both blindsided when the journalist reveals it’s an interview Q&A with Abe Carver, too. EJ blasts Nicole for not knowing what they were getting into, but Nicole thinks he needs to go through with it. Abe and EJ have some choice words on and off camera, but later EJ turns things around in his favor and leaves the incumbent on the hot seat.
