Who Are You Angry At? A Katrina Ballad / CNN Mashup
Free | Current TV
Posted: 11/2/2011
This is a video of a live performance of Katrina Ballads & of CNN footage of Anderson Cooper & Mary Landrieu reacting to the federal response to Hurricane Katrina.
The KATRINA BALLADS is a brand new collection of songs inspired by the tragic events surrounding Hurricane Katrina. This work uses entirely primary-source texts to paint a rich musical portrait of that devastating and telling week in September 2005. Setting the words of flood survivors, relief workers, politicians and celebrities, New York composer Ted Hearne creates a cutting-edge musical experience and a vivid look into America's darkest hours. The music is rhythmic, theatrical, and American to the core, possessing an edgy post-minimalist drive and a deep jazz influence. It is a moving performance, challenging us to remember and reflect upon our own history.

Hong Kong police made their largest single seizure of drugs so far after discovering 43 million U.S. dollars-worth of suspected cocaine in a village house on Friday (April 23).
Five suspects appeared in Fanling Magistrates Court on Wednesday (April 28) charged with drug trafficking, local media reported.
'We are still investigating the eight suspects to find out whether they are directly linked to the seized drugs. The police are also trying to find the missing person involved in the investigation,' said Hong Kong Narcotics Bureau Acting Chief Superintendant Ted Tsang Cheung-tat.
A total of ten suspects were arrested in connection to the case.
The police had been investigating a missing person report in the area, Hong Kong police said in a statement, when they found 372 kilogrammes of cocaine hidden in a house near the border of mainland China.
Police are still searching for the missing Dutch-Chinese man, Chang Ma-ki, the South China Morning Post reported, adding that he was believed to have been negotiating a deal with the local dealers when he disappeared.
