CBS' Hawaii Five-0 left us hanging last May with the shocking revelation that Steve McGarrett's presumed-dead mother, Doris, is very much alive. "She faked her own death to protect her family," explains Chicago Hope vet Christine Lahti, who debuts as Mama McG in the September 24 season premiere. "Now she's come back and Steve [Alex O'Loughlin] is shell-shocked. She hasn't seen Steve since he was 15 and wants his forgiveness."
Steve McGarrett's happy family reunion is expanding. With his presumed dead mother Doris returning in Hawaii Five-0's season premiere (with Chicago Hope vet Christine Lahti in the role), sister Mary Ann won't be far behind.
In an episode slated to air...

Our top moments of the week:
14. Worst Icing on the Cake: On Part 1 of the season finale of The Real Housewives of Orange County, new housewife Heather Dubrow throws a name party for herself to celebrate taking her husband's last name. We're still not sure exactly why the cake at said party so greatly symbolizes her name change, but Heather gets her frosted pink bow in a big twist when Alexis Bellino's friend, Sarah, eats a part of the bow before the cake is cut. Sarah apologizes, then calls Heather fake and pretentious before Heather hands her an Oreo cookie to satisfy her sugar craving. Who knew a cake with so much frosting could leave such a sour taste....
Sorry, Burn Notice fans. Fiona will not be getting out of prison anytime soon. Series creator and executive producer Matt Nix is just having too much fun.
"We don't get her out in the first episode. We don't get her out in the second episode and we don't get her out in the third episode," Nix tells TVGuide.com with a laugh. (It is too late for a spoiler alert?) "It's fun just to see Fiona in prison. Obviously, she's not an average prisoner, and prison is not a safe place to be. She's got her own set of challenges and her own set of characters....

How soon will we meet Kalinda's husband next season on The Good Wife? — Beth
ADAM: We're hearing that he will be in the season premiere and at least five additional episodes next season. But he won't be the only new face. Look for a calculating, self-righteous bankruptcy trustee who's brought in to fix the firm's financial woes. We hear he butts heads with just about everyone. Perhaps that's because he's cutting costs...and — gulp! — slashing jobs?
I can't wait to see Russell Edgington again on True Blood. Got any scoop on his return? — Mark

I have good news and bad news for fans of Taryn Manning, who have been patiently waiting for her Hawaii Five-0 character (Steve McGarrett's spunky kid sis, MaryAnn) to break out with a stronger screen presence. The Jan. 3 episode finally allows the actress to take center stage when MaryAnn gets kidnapped. It's all part of a plot connected to the villainous Wo Fat and the murder of Steve and MaryAnn's mother. But — without giving away the tearjerker ending — something happens during the course of the episode that could potentially make this Taryn's swan song on the CBS crime drama.
The drama begins when Steve (Alex O'Loughlin) rushes to his sister's new apartment and discovers...
Watch out Hawaii Five-0. Vultures are circling your seriously underused star Taryn Manning, who was originally described to me as a series regular but has barely appeared on screen as Steve McGarrett's little sis, MaryAnn. F/X's Sons of Anarchy had wanted Taryn to...
Scott Caan has been booked to play the iconic role of Danny "Danno" Williams in CBS' Hawaii Five-O pilot, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Caan, 33, will step into the role originated by James MacArthur and made famous by the original series' catch phrase, "Book 'em, Danno!"
Taryn Manning joins Hawaii Five-O remake
In the project, Williams is a recent transfer from...
Taryn Manning is the latest to sign on to CBS' Hawaii Five-O remake, Entertainment Weekly reports.
Manning, 31, joins previously announced stars Alex O'Loughlin (most recently of Three Rivers) and Lost's Daniel Dae Kim. Manning will play Mary Ann, the...
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson by John Shearer/WireImage.com
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has confirmed for SCI FI Wire that in the upcoming Shazam! movie, he's going to play the villainous Black Adam rather than the heroic Captain Marvel because that's what fans told him they wanted him to do. I had no idea you guys were so powerful. Can you please make sure there won't be a "Game Plan 2"? Please?.... Jennifer Connelly has signed on to star opposite Keanu Reeves in a remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still.... Jeanne Tripplehorn has landed the part of Jackie O in the Drew Barrymore/Jessica Lange adaptation of the docu-turned-Broadway hit Grey Gardens.... Frances Conroy (Six Feet Under) and Will Patton (No Way Out) have been cast as the parents of Disturbia hottie Sarah Roemer in the thriller Waking Madison, about a nutjob who locks herself in her apartment for 30 days to cure her mental illness. Taryn Manning has also signed on to play a fellow loony. —Ben Katner
