Al Roker, Matt Lauer
Sharknado 2: The Second One featured almost as many celebrities as flying finned fish, including Kelly Osbourne, Wil Wheaton, Andy Dick, Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan. But perhaps the most memorable of the cameos were Matt Lauer and Al Roker. With remarkably deadpan performances, the Today show cohorts (playing themselves) charted the shark-filled storm's bite into the Big Apple, providing some of the funniest moments in last summer's shark-tacular sequel.

We have no one to blame but ourselves.
Sharknado 2: The Second One, the follow-up to last summer's surprisingly popular-for-all-the-wrong-reasons Sharknado, set a record as the network's most watched original movie ever, the network announced Thursday.
The polar vortex wasn't the only freakish weather system to invade New York City this winter. The sequel to Syfy's Sharknado, last summer's over-the-top, Twitter-busting pop-culture phenomenon, was filmed amid frigid conditions throughout the Big Apple. Ian Ziering and Tara Reid reprise their roles as recently reconciled couple Fin and April, who barely survived last year's series of shark-infested waterspouts that tore through Los Angeles.
On the set of Sharknado 2: The Second One in February, Ziering wasn't feeling the pressure of expectations to top the original, which spurred more than 300,000 tweets during its original broadcast. "Either you like it or you don't like it," the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum says. "I didn't have high hopes for the first movie, and look what happened."
Sharknado 2: The Second One
"You just jumped the shark," Mark McGrath says in the latest trailer for Sharknado 2: The Next One, probably one Sharknado movie too late. Syfy rolled out a new extended trailer for the next chapter of its social-media phenomenon, and it's heavy on Big Apple pride, airborne toothy fish, and surprise celebrity cameos.
Don't you hate it when you're walking in Times Square and all of a sudden a Sharknado materializes out of nowhere and an airborne Great White eats your Pilates partner? That's exactly the type of mayhem that'll be going down in the upcoming sequel to Syfy's ridiculous hit Sharknado. The network has finally released the first footage from Sharknado 2: The Second One, and yep, it's just as loony as you'd expect...
Syfy is gonna need a bigger boat.
The network has ordered Sharknado 3, before the second installment in the franchise even airs. The threequel will air in summer 2015, though Syfy has not specified in which city it will take place.
