Exclusive Castle First Look: Have Castle and Beckett Picked a Wedding Date?!

Monday's Castle has already made headlines because of the return of James Brolin as Castle's mysterious CIA agent father Jackson Hunt. But based on our exclusive first look at the episode (10/9c, ABC), there may be a much more exciting reason to watch.

Winter TV: Get scoop on your favorite returning shows

In the clip below, Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) are deep in discussion about when they should schedule their upcoming wedding. Unfortunately, nearly every time of year that comes to mind yields some sort of conflict. But, noticing the couple's stress level, Martha (Susan Sullivan) drops a suggestion we could totally get behind... read more

Keck's Exclusives: James Brolin Drops In on Castle

James Brolin reprises his role as Richard Castle's long-absent father, C.I.A. operative Jackson Hunt, on the Jan. 13 episode of ABC's Castle (10/9c). And during this visit, he meets his son's fiancé, Kate (Stana Katic), and reunites with Castle's mother, Martha (Susan Sullivan), for the first time since Castle's (Nathan Fillion) conception. If Jackson seems a bit darker and more mysterious this time around, there's good reason: That's just how Brolin demanded it.

TV Guide Magazine: Who is Jackson in your mind?
James Brolin: I feel very clear about him not being your ideal person in life. He's saved a lot of lives and done the world a lot of good — because he loves to kill. I like the simile to [Showtime's serial killer] Dexter, although Dexter does it illegally and Jackson is hired by America.... read more

Keck's Exclusives: Falcon Crest Stars Approached For Possible Reboot

Following TNT's successful Dallas relaunch, stars of the 1981-1990 CBS primetime soap Falcon Crest have been approached by one of the original show's writers about their interest in appearing in a reboot.

"There's not much I can say, for reasons that go beyond myself," original star William Moses said at the premiere of War Horse at Los Angeles' Pantages Theatre. "Warner Bros. owns the rights and so it's a discussion between them and the writers. There is a pitch and an idea germinating that has some traction. The producers contacted me to ask if I'd be interested, and I said yes. Where it goes on the producing side, I don't know."

I can't believe I have to wait all summer for more Castle. Is there any way Beckett will turn down Castle's proposal? — Lauren
ADAM:
Depends on who you ask. Cast member Tamala Jones thinks that Beckett's desire for career advancement in Washington, D.C., could outweigh her feelings for Castle. "Beckett is a strong woman, and she's not going to forget who she is," she says. "So she may say no — or not right now." Susan Sullivan, who plays Castle's mother, has a different take. "What woman in her right mind would say no to him?" she says. "Therein would lie the problem: I may actually have to move out. Yikes!"

Do you have any scoop on Laurel and Oliver next season on Arrow? —Jim

On the Set Exclusive: Castle Investigates a Sci-Fi Convention Murder

To step onto Castle's Hollywood soundstage one early October afternoon is to boldly go where no author and his muse have gone before. Today's action is unfolding not in a gritty NYPD precinct, but on an elaborate spaceship set, all sleek steel and high-tech consoles, manned by actors clad in costumes that would look right at home aboard the USS Enterprise.

Under the watchful eye of director Jonathan Frakes (aka Star Trek: The Next Generation's Commander William T. Riker), a Shatneresque captain stoically assesses... read more
