When a private detective (Patrick Bergin) agrees to trail the wife (Jayne Heitmeyer) of a corporate fat cat (Daniel Pilon) who suspects her of cheating, it seems like a straightforward case. But when the woman's lover turns up dead, the detective is drawn into a plot to pin the murder on his client's enemy (Gary Busey). As the story progresses, he also sinks deeper into the arms of the very woman he's supposed to be investigating.
