Two time NBA MVP Steve Nash is making his directorial debut for ESPN, contributing a segment to the network's "30 For 30" initiative. Timed to ESPN's 30th anniversary next year, the series will feature 30 hour-long documentaries, commemorating major sporting events of the past three decades.Nash's contribution to the project will be a movie about fellow Canadian Terry Fox, a cancer activist who memorably attempted to run across his country in 1980. Fox, who suffered from bone cancer and had his right leg amputated above the knee, covered more than 3,300 miles before his cancer spread, forcing him to abandon the journey. He died the following year, but not before becoming one of his country's most celebrated citizens.
