Well kids, this is it! It's been just over two months since this crazy season started and now it's all coming to an end. Who would be taking home the crown and who would go home in utter defeat? More importantly, who is being booted right away and settling for third place? I'm anticipating an interesting (yet long!) night ahead, so let's dive into it one last time! After a short interview with our finalists, Usher entered the ballroom and I shouted with glee. He's sexy and talented and he really hasn't had a song I haven't liked. Despite having a headset, I definitely think he wasn't singing his new hit song "Love in This Club" but that's really fine with me. It's a dancing show and if singing live would have made it hard for him to break it down at the end then he shouldn't have sang. I also think every performer on this show has lip-synched so this isn't abnormal. We've had some pretty great performances this year. Which was your favorite? Then the first big moment of the night arr...

Shannon Elizabeth and Derek Hough by Kelsey McNeal/ABC
Weren't we just saying that Season 6 had no drama? Scratch that. On Tuesday morning, Derek Hough, Mark Ballas and Julianne Hough were rehearsing an up-tempo routine to Kylie Minogue's "Can't Get You Out Of My Head," when Derek threw his head back "and I just felt my neck go," he says. "It crunched and popped and I said, 'I need some help.'"Paramedics rushed in to stabilize Derek's neck with a brace, put him on a gurney and drove him to the hospital where it was determined that he had strained a neck muscle, much like whiplash. The doctors gave him a neck brace and advised him to go to bed for three days "to get the weight off my neck," says Derek, who plans to forge ahead and dance next week. "We were really worried because Derek isn't one to complain," says his little sister, Julianne. "And so when we saw him run off the dance floor, we were like, 'uh, oh.'" Mark's father, Corky Ballas, was in the ballroom and witnessed the whole thing. "The studio was really cold this morning," s...

This must be a cruel April Fool's joke! Mahoney Steve gone? Surely there is some mathematical error. I am completely heart broken right now. Gone after his best dance yet? And Marissa is still here? I don't understand it one bit. He even got the encore dance! Best man dance ever. At least I have that to remember him by. So long, Steve. I hope to see you on an ABC show this fall because you deserve it!What does everyone think of the new policy of not revealing the bottom two? I have mixed emotions about it. On one hand, I found it refreshing because it did add a bit more suspense to the elimination process. The reveal that Marissa was safe in the middle of the show had me wondering who the unlucky contestant was. However, leaving Mario and Karina at the end with Anna and Mahoney Steve was pretty predictable. On the other hand, I think we need to know who the bottom two is so we know who is in jeopardy and who to give our votes.I loved the segment on the unorthodox hobbies of t...

The tango and the jive are two of the liveliest dances in the ballroom repertoire, so I knew we were in for an interesting night. The tango is by far my favorite (the pasa doble is a close second) because of the fire and emotion and the jive is entertaining because there is a lot of movement. But they are not just entertaining, they are challenging. The tango must be tight yet look effortless and the jive is crazy yet the movements must be controlled. There were some hits and misses tonight, so let's get to it! Marlee I was anti-Fabian because he took over for my beloved Maksim, but he really won me when he screamed in her ear "Can you hear this?" That was hilarious. My only concern is that they were a bit out of sync tonight. It seemed he was a step ahead of her. They have to rely on other senses to work together, so I think in the coming weeks they will be able to get it together. Jive 21Mahoney (aka Steve for those of you under a rock) This was by far an improvem...

Phew! Tonight was a marathon, not a sprint. As much as I love this show, 2 hours and all 12 competitors was a bit much for me. Luckily, there was nothing a good mambo couldn't fix. Raise your hand if you totally fantasize about being a competitor on this show. I do, I do! I always have the coolest dress, the best technique and a song that doesn't stink! Oh, and Maksim is my partner every time. Yeah, you know it!But enough about my delusions of grandeur, it's D-List casserole time. So get yourself a plate and I'll serve up some recap for ya! Mahoney Could he be any cuter? Despite some major stiffness (hehe), he seemed to be enjoying himself. I hope he sticks around long enough to revive his career. ABC get this man a pilot! Mambo 16Cristián The military bit was ridiculous but his dancing was not. Thankfully, Cheryl has someone who can keep up with her this year.Quickstep 20Monica It wasn't as big of a disaster as I thought, but it wasn't pretty eith...

Heya, Matt here. The latest edition of the increasingly prolific Mitovich Mega Minute features my video Q&A with Dancing stars Steve Guttenberg and Monica Seles. Is Steve at an unfair advantage because of his past "experience" with the Village People? Will Monica's trademark grunts make their way onto the dance floor? And why are they picking on my dancing skills?! It's all in here. Enjoy! — Matt Webb Mitovich

Leapin' lizards! It's time for another season of Dancing with the Stars. Welcome back, everyone! I've missed my weekly helping of D-list casserole so let's get right to it, shall we?My first giggle of the season came in the middle of the opening dance by the pros. It wasn't my normal snicker about how the men's hips go all girlie, but a pure gleeful giggle at how cheesy this whole show is and what a dork I am for it. What's better? I get to goof on it all and then some of you write in and tell me what an idiot I am. This is the life!Penn Jillette We've found this season's funny guy. He's not going to win but he'll last a few weeks because he's good for a chuckle. He should have Teller dress up like a girl and dance with him. Cha-cha 16 Jason Taylor He's dancing with Edyta, so they have the hotness factor working for them. He was a bit stiff, but he definitely has potential. It's probably out of his comfort zone and he'll loosen up in no time.Fox-trot 22C...

Short Circuit courtesy Image Entertainment
Hi! Dave the DVD Guy here. I've got home-video scoop, so I couldn't resist popping in and breaking the news!Number 5 is alive... on Blu-ray! Ally Sheedy (Wargames, The Breakfast Club) and Steve Guttenberg (Cocoon, Police Academy) star in 1986's Short Circuit, about a heavily armed (but oh-so-cute!) military robot that escapes from the Defense Department after he short circuits in an electrical storm and begins to think for himself. His designer (Guttenberg) wants to find him before the military does, but Stephanie (Sheedy) has found him first. No disassemble! It's directed by John Badham, who has also directed Wargames, Blue Thunder and lately a couple of episodes of Heroes and other TV shows. Image Entertainment is releasing Short Circuit for Blu-ray Disc on May 20. Besides the high definition image, the $19.98 SRP disc will also sport a nice English-DTS HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack.I hope that helps freshen your day! David Lambert
