Keck's Exclusives: First Look — and Listen — to New Simpsons Episode

Might The Simpsons take home a Grammy award for this Sunday's show? Probably not, but it has a shot considering the episode includes a song written by composer Bobby Lopez, who collected Tony awards for Broadway's Book of Mormon and Avenue Q. The song, "Enjoy It While You Can," is sung by funny Brit Steve Coogan, who voices a cruise ship director named Rowan Priddis on the animated Fox comedy.

Titled, "A Totally Fun Thing Bart Will Never Do Again," the episode finds Bart selling everything he owns to take his family on a top-of-the-line luxury cruise. But when Bart realizes the cruise will end, he takes extreme measures to make his ultimate family vacation last forever. "The cruise is so amazing that Bart has an adult-like realization that the rest of his life is all going to be downhill from there," previews producer Matt Selman. "That's where this song comes in. It's supposed to be a gentle, good-natured song that entertains the passengers, but Bart takes it deadly to heart." From there, he plots to keep the cruise going indefinitely. "He takes extreme measures in only the way Bart can."

"The Therapist"

Let’s get this recap going before I forget what happened. Now, there’s misanthropy and there’s being a flat-out bad person, and tonight, LD seriously towed that line. Between faking Alzheimer's and getting his therapist thrown in jail, I’m not sure where this so-called new Larry David is. If there’s anything different about him, it’s the fact that he’s now ruining people’s lives on purpose as opposed to just incidentally.OK, Doctor Bright (Steve Coogan) was probably the world’s worst therapist, considering he told Larry to give Cheryl an ultimatum on moving back in with him ("You have until Monday"). And sure, he might be ridiculously stupid, because he went along with Larry’s fake mugging plan, that even Loretta and Auntie Rae wanted to put a stop to. But did he really deserve to go to jail? He obviously hadn’t spent enough time counseling Larry, or he would have known that his client wouldn’t be helping him get out of his... read more

Owen Wilson Pal: Don't Drug Me into the Blame Game

The downward spiral thatl ed Owen Wilson to ultimately attempt to take his life on Aug. 26 was perhaps helped along by the film funnyman "hanging out around the wrong people," sources tell Us, with several singling out actor Steve Coogan. Courtney Love, recalling her own past association with the Brit bad boy, tells the mag, "I was just out of rehab and he was right there with the drugs." When Coogan cozied up to Wilson (both costarred in Night at the Museum), "I tried to warn Owen," says Love. "I hope... that Owen stays the hell away from that guy." In response, Coogan tells TV's Extra, "These accusations are unfounded, unhelpful and hurtful to all concerned. We are taking legal advice."So bad was Wilson's drug dependency, Us reports, that pal Woody Harrelson staged an intervention in May that, alas, didn't take. read more
