The Mindy Project
The cast changes at The Mindy Project continue.
Recurring star Ike Barinholtz — who plays Morgan and also writes for the freshman Fox sitcom — has been promoted to a series regular, star, creator and executive producer Mindy Kaling revealed at Fox's winter TV previews Tuesday.
The promotion is the most recent of many for The Mindy Project. Stephen Tobolwsky exited in December, Amanda Setton will also soon be departing, and...
Stephen Tobolowsky, Mindy Kaling
Glee's Stephen Tobolowsky, whose credits also include Heroes and Californication, is joining Fox's The Mindy Project as the head of Mindy Kaling's medical practice, while Richard Schiff, who appears in the pilot, won't continue on the show.
Whether or not you enjoyed watching — spoiler alert — New Directions lose the big competition for a second year in a row on Glee, there's no question that the club's journey to Nationals took a backseat to bullying, the Warblers, religion, drinking, prom and a whole lot more this season. In the end, we still got a moving duet between Rachel and Kurt on Wicked's Broadway stage, a couple of new, pretty good original songs, an "awww" moment between Kurt and Blaine, and an even bigger one between season MVPs Santana and Brittany.
Report: Jane Lynch to host the Emmy awards
And yet! While the writers managed to tie up some of their many arcs nicely — Bye Terri! Welcome back, Finchel! — we've come up with seven unsolicited suggestions to help them ease into next season based on what culminated in Tuesday's finale. In no particular order, they are:
Hugh Laurie, Amber Tamblyn
House (Monday, 8/7c, Fox)
This homecoming will be a cause either for celebration or lamentation, depending on your affections for Thirteen, the enigma who's been MIA while Olivia Wilde has been off making movies (including the upcoming Cowboys & Aliens). So now we know where Thirteen has ...
Carla Gugino, David Duchovny
If you thought Hank Moody driving off into the sunset during the closing moments of Californication's fourth season felt like a series finale, you weren't the only one.
"This could have functioned as a series ending if we needed it to be," creator and executive producer Tom Kapinos tells TVGuide.com. "It was a nice little bookend to the opening of the pilot in a sense. So, I was fine with it sort of feeling like some closure, but at the same time, it was open for...
Jane Lynch, Chris Colfer, Amber Riley
Glee fans already know the final six episodes of the season will focus on New Directions preparing for Nationals. Vocal Adrenaline will be there — and so will the near-forgotten Sunshine Corazon (Charice) and Coach Dustin (Cheyenne Jackson). As for the rest of the action, the cast and series creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan revealed quite a few surprises during Wednesday's PaleyFest event:
Paget Brewster, David Caruso, Chyler Leigh

What's going to happen to Prentiss on Criminal Minds? Please tell me she doesn't die. — Janelle
ADAM: The March 16 episode will most likely be her last, but something tells me her sendoff will allow Prentiss to return, should Paget Brewster be so inclined. But what, short of death, will send Emily packing? Matthew Gray Gubler, who directed the episode, tells us that Prentiss' dirty laundry will finally be aired. "[Prentiss] is in a tricky situation. She may have done some things in her past that wouldn't be looked upon favorably," he says.
Stephen Tobolowsky and Pamela Adlon

In the inexplicably long-running smutcom's fourth season, the grotesque Marcy Runkle (Pamela Adlon) is being romanced by big-time Hollywood producer Stu Beggs (Stephen Tobolowsky, aka Groundhog Day's Ned Ryerson, wasting his talent).
Madeleine Martin, David Duchovny
Showtime has scheduled the debut of two new series and the return of Californication for early next year.
Shameless, the John Wells-produced drama, will bow Sunday, Jan. 9 at 10/9c. Starring William H. Macy and Emmy Rossum, Shameless centers on...
The Haitian repaid his debt by saving Peter. Jimmy Jean-Louis by Chris Haston/NBC
Episode Recap: "Four Months Ago"Bonsoir mes amis! Leah Friedman (Friday Night Lights, among other blogs) in for Casey tonight, and I figured I'd stick with the Montréal theme. I'm thrilled to be filling in for her for the second in what will hopefully become a series of great Heroes episodes. We all know about the griping (and yes, I've done my own fair share of it this fall) about how the season started out, but between last week and this week, I'm hoping we can all agree that the show is back on track. It was certainly a subtle episode by Heroes standards; more along the lines of last season's "Company Man" than anything else, and as a character study of the Petrellis, Elle and the Sanders family, it worked well most of the time.First off, thank you Tim Kring for finally revealing just how in the hell Peter ended up in Ireland. We already knew that Nathan saved New York from Peter, but in dueling bouts of self-sacrifice, Peter rescued a falling, burning Nathan and deli...
