While One Tree Hill may be known for soapy plotlines mixed in with a few psycho killers (RIP, Nanny Carrie), the heart of the series has always been the relationships. As the show embarks on its ninth and final season, we were on the set with the cast as they warned that it's definitely not all rainbows and butterflies for the core couples. From Nathan's absence to an accident involving one of Brooke and Julian's babies, see what to expect when One Tree Hill returns (Wednesday, 8/7c, The CW).

Stephen Colletti
One Tree Hill's Chase might've been introduced as a celibate "clean teen" in Season 4, but these days he's finding himself in a love triangle. "I like to blame it on the girls," Stephen Colletti jokes to TVGuide.com. "They came after him."
While his character has been getting close again with Alex, played by Jana Kramer, Colletti hopes he gets back together with ex-girlfriend Mia, played by musician Kate Voegele.

One Tree Hill
When One Tree Hill ended last year, several characters got happy endings. Brooke (Sophia Bush) got her proposal, and Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) and Nathan (James Lafferty) found out they were expecting Baby No. 2. (Left-for-dead couple Clay (Robert Buckley) and Quinn (Shantel VanSanten)? Not so much.)
Series creator Mark Schwahn says when the show returns on Tuesday (8/7c on The CW), the good times won't immediately be ripped apart. In many ways, Season 8 will be a return to the...

Hey Tree Hillers, Megan here. Walter couldn't blog tonight, but I'm sure he'll be catching up on this week's confessions soon enough. Leave it to OTH to create a graduation day like no other. There's something about a cap and gown that hides all the painful memories for just a moment those few minutes that mark a step forward, even if it seems like these students walked in dizzying circles of deceit and unfortunate circumstances right from the first day of freshman year. There may be a wedding ring or two, a bun in the oven, missing parents, and unfinished speeches, but watching our Tree Hill seniors get their diplomas (nice wipeout, Bevin!) was one of those musical CW moments you just had to sink into or at least I did. Not surprising that Haley went into labor in the middle of her inspirational words, but I guess we'll have to wait until the finale to see if it's a false alarm or not
and also to see if graduating plus partying really does equal Brooke Davis minu...

Hey OTH fans... I'm filling in for Walter this week, but don't worry, I know all the Tree Hill dirt, from the very first Brooke/Peyton/Lucas tug of war to the latest turmoil that's thrown the seniors into quite a tailspin. Now, any viewer of this show knows to expect to hear a line or two that'll make us go, "Are you serious? Did she just actually say that?" And that's usually why we love it, soaking up the guilty pleasure that Mark Schwahn has created piece by piece. (Check out my interview with him to hear about the show's upcoming drama and more.) But this week takes the cake. Misery and makeups were drowning in so much twisted teen cheese that I shouldn't have been surprised. Yet I was. "Thank you for telling me the truth. Now I know why they call it true love.""I love every version of you.""Always and forever."OK, don't hate me, Haley and Nathan fans (Walter will return next week), but I couldn't take the amount of lovey-dovey that was piled into this episode. I am actually pro-...
