Frasier's clowning around lands Martin in the hospital. Arriving home from a date with Ronee, Martin sneaks up behind Frasier and yells, 'Boo!' Although Frasier knows Martin enjoys practical jokes, he doesn't appreciate being surprised that way. The next day, following Frasier's private session with Mimi, a pediatric nurse trying to overcome her crippling fear of clowns, Martin stops by Frasier's office and 'spooks' him again. Frasier decides to teach Martin a lesson. As part of Mimi's treatment program, Frasier has acquired a full clown costume and makeup. One night, he tells Martin he's going out, but slips back into the apartment to don the clown gear. Frasier rings the doorbell, and when Martin answers, Frasier pops out and surprises him. To Frasier's dismay, the sudden shock causes Martin to collapse. In the emergency room, Frasier neglects to tell Niles that he caused Martin's heart attack until a nurse blows his cover by reading the paramedics' report aloud. Fortunately, the doctor terms Martin's collapse a 'mild cardiac event' and sends him home the next morning. Initially, Martin refuses to tell Ronee about the incident, fearing she'll view him as an old man. But later, Martin not only 'fesses up - he proposes to her. watch

Exclusive: Who Stole Barney's Virginity? Butler Almost Did It

It wasn't easy, but How I Met Your Mother has finally located the middle-aged woman with whom Barney lost his virginity many moons ago. Veteran character actress Stephanie Faracy — whose most recent credits include episodes of Ugly Betty, Grey's Anatomy and Will & Grace — has landed the plum part. She replaces onetime sitcom star Brett Butler (Grace Under Fire), who showed up for work on Wednesday but was quickly let go after it was mutually decided that the role wasn't a good fit. (That explains why, as astute Ausiello Report readers can attest, a story I had announcing Butler's casting was quickly yanked from TVGuide.com late yesterday.)Butler's miscasting was just the latest wrinkle in producers' exhaustive search for Barney's "first." As Neil Patrick Harris revealed to me at TV Guide's Emmy After Party last month, producers originally approached Kirstie Alley to play Mrs. Robinson to his Benjamin Braddock. But for some unknown reason, the ex-Fat Actress declined. P... read more

October 12, 2006: What I Am

The very best episodes of Grey's Anatomy make you laugh and cry all at once, and this was one of those. Seconds after I was crying while watching Izzie listen to Denny's phone message to his parents, I laughed out loud at Callie propositioning McSteamy. All together now: Shut up! Mark Sloan aka McSteamy to Callie: "Can I buy you a drink?" Callie: "Only if you have it delivered to my hotel room," as she walks out of the bar, then turns around all sexy: "You comin'?" You go, girl! She breaks it off with George and then seduces... McSteamy. Can we say "upgrade" much? Only on television, but I'll allow it.Nice way to have McSteamy enter the hospital — having everyone gaze over and give off all sorts of different vibes ranging from shock to anger to excitement. Oh yes — be sure to pick up the latest copy of TV Guide magazine since new series regular Eric Dane is gracing the cover. Fall TV Hot List issue, people — run, don't walk! Speaking of hot, can we talk about the perf... read more
