Chatita (Steffi Duna), a Mexican cantina singer, is in love with the cantina's lead dancer Pancho (Don Alvarado). A famous Mexico City theater owner comes to their small town to audition Pancho for a contract with his company. Chatita decides to mess up the audition in hopes that Pancho will not get the job and stay at their cantina. Hilarity ensues as Chatita plans go awry. This live-action film from Pioneer Films was the first to use the new 3 strip Technicolor process, far superior to the old 2-color process. watch
