Frasier is throwing a Halloween party, telling his guests to come dressed as their hero. He is dressed as Sigmund Freud and has invented a party game in which everyone has to answer guests in the persona of their heroes. Most of his guests cancel, claiming last-minute illness. Martin has been spreading rumors that Frasier - 'Old Man Crane' - eats the brains of children and none of them come trick-or-treating. Martin dresses as Joe DiMaggio and Niles comes as Martin. Frasier thinks he's kissing up to Martin, but Daphne, dressed as Elton John, and Roz, dressed as Wonder Woman, think it's touching. Niles amazes everyone with his canny impersonation of Martin, drinking more beer than he's used to. In character, they all describe the most important relationship of their lives. The game degenerates into jokes and Frasier berates Niles in the kitchen for ruining his party. No one else wants to continue with the game either and Frasier storms out. Out in the hall, Frasier meets Justin, whose older brother has just stolen his Halloween candy. Frasier sympathizes, suggesting ways to get even, and Justin defends his brother. Frasier sets Justin straight about the brain-eating rumor and tells him to come by for more candy later. Justin's maturity makes Frasier feel ashamed and he goes back to the apartment to apologize. When he returns, the others apologize and offer to give the game another shot. When they all have to describe the greatest disappointment in their lives, Niles, who is rather drunk by now, imitates Martin complaining about his sons. Niles goes too far and Martin gets angry and storms off, ending the party. Niles asks Frasier to help him get his wig off so he can go apologize to Martin. Daphne opens the door to Justin and his friends, who scream and run away when they see Frasier trying to leverage the wig off with a spoon. watch
