CBS' postapocalyptic drama rose from the ashes of cancellation after devotees inundated the network with thousands of pounds of peanuts (a reference to a line spoken by Skeet Ulrich in last season's finale). So in this year's opener, when Ulrich's character visited a wounded comrade in the hospital, there was a close-up of, yes, peanuts on the patient's bedside table.
