Do you have any Cristina-and-Owen scoop on Grey's Anatomy? — Jasmine
NATALIE: Though Cristina and Owen have broken up, Kevin McKidd says that they'll still be linked. "So even if they're not a couple, they'll always be, in a way, a spiritual couple... and I'll still get to work with her." Still...

And then there were seven.
The Mentalist finale: Who is Red John?
As promised, The Mentalist's Season 5 finale found Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) narrowing down the list of people who could possibly be his serial killer nemesis Red John to just seven names. But in a final twist and display of power, Red John "changed the game" by predicting — in the form of a video message from the now-dead Lorelei Martins (Emmanuelle Chriqui) no less! — which seven names Jane was going to end with. He also shared this parting threat: "I'm going to start killing again, often. Until you catch me, or I catch you."

By the end of The Mentalist's Season 5 finale, viewers will finally know Red John's real name.
On Sunday's episode (10/9c, CBS), Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) narrows down his list of suspects to seven people. And despite the twists and tricks of the past (remember Bradley Whitford as Red John?), creator and executive producer Bruno Heller insists that one of the names on Jane's list is indeed his serial-killing nemesis.

As fans of The Mentalist know only too well, you'd have to be nuts to purposely piss off Red John. But that's just what will happen in Sunday's episode, titled "There Will Be Blood," when the serial killer's accomplice, Lorelei Martins, goes rogue. Played by Entourage's Emmanuelle Chriqui, the needy, high-strung Lorelei packs an all-purpose gym bag of devastation (gun, Taser, rope, handcuffs) and sets out to avenge the murder of her sister Miranda — a crime that...

Think about it. We're now five seasons into The Mentalist and we still don't know all that much about Simon Baker's title character — the sad, tormented, ultra-private Patrick Jane. What happened to him right after the murder of his wife and daughter by the mad slasher Red John? Is it true he was in a mental hospital under suicide watch? And, if so, how did he ever get his act together to join the major crimes unit at the CBI? To celebrate the 100th episode of the CBS series, creator-exec producer Bruno Heller is flashing back — eight years to be exact — to cough up a few answers. Prepare for a...
Is this the year The Mentalist's Patrick Jane finally catches Red John? Probably not, but creator Bruno Heller is promising some major movement in the case.

"We're going to get much, much, much closer," Heller tells TVGuide.com. "We're going to take an investigative leap forward, further than we have in the previous four seasons. Up to now, we've kind of been stalking him. This season, conceptually, we get a location for him. The running chase starts now."
Perhaps the key to that reveal is Lorelei (guest star Emmanuelle Chriqui), the cocktail waitress-turned-Red John disciple Jane (Simon Baker) had a fling with in last season's finale...
The Mentalist isn't just about a hot dude with a lot of vests and a savvy Spidey sense. Patrick Jane also has a killer team in his corner and there is much fun to be had watching the CBI's inter-office antics. In the clip from "The Brotherhood" extra on the show's fourth season DVD release (now on sale), Simon Baker and his colleagues share their takes on the gallows humor that keeps their characters from cracking under the pressure of a seriously twisted job.
