MICKEY: Executive producer Katie Jacobs has made it clear that Huddy is not a ratings ploy; she intends to see it through to its logical conclusion. If the snuggly promo photos are any indication, at least initially they'll be aiming for true romance. But House will still be a medical drama and Master Gregory will still be very, very cranky. So for now, wipe those Moonlighting-related thoughts from your mind.

Outgoing showrunner Shawn Ryan says the final nine episodes build to a cliff-hanger leading into Season 3, even though many of the episodes stand alone. One reunites Ryan with six cast members from his hit cable series, The Shield.  Airing Aug. 16, the episode finds Lightman (Tim Roth) wondering if he sent the wrong person to jail in a child murder case. "We get called to an execution and the guy says he didn't do it, and he didn't do it," Roth says. "The reason he is getting executed is because I was a witness. So he's sentenced to death based on my science and my testimony."
