"Faced with the pressure that single women feel going to weddings alone, Catherine slips and tells [her friends and sister] she has someone in her life and so she has to produce him," executive producer Sherri Cooper tells TVGuide.com. "The question is does, Vincent show up under the guise of someone else and risk it? Does she bring someone else instead? Does she confess she made him up? The episode is a lot about risk."

In The CW's Beauty and the Beast remake, from Jennifer Levin and Sherri Cooper, Jay Ryan stars as Vincent Keller, a doctor-turned-soldier who was transformed into a beast after a faulty military medical experiment. Smallville alum Kristin Kreuk plays his beauty, Catherine Chandler, a cop who's driven by revenge after the her mother's death, which was possibly connected to the shady company behind Vincent's accident.

The CW's Beauty and the Beast may not have singing teacups and dancing candelabras, but it is still a story of forbidden romance.
This B&B is actually based on the 1987 CBS series, with a similar procedural twist. Instead of Ron Perlman as the beast and Linda Hamilton as the beauty, now there's Jay Ryan and Smallville alum Kristin Kreuk as Vincent Keller and Catherine Chandler, respectively.
