Needful Things -- Leland Gaunt comes to Sheriff Alan Pangborn's pleasant little New England town, and opens a store. What this kindly Satan sells is whatever you need, from a surcease from pain to an object which you have always coveted. The Faustian price is, of course, corruption, and soon the poor sheriff's town is wracked by jealousy, spite, and violence.

A young boy tumbles into the fantasy land of Tao, where the evil Komodo battles the forces of good, who are led by the high-kicking Warriors of Virtue - an expert band of kangaroo martial-arts masters!

Funnyman Chevy Chase (National Lampoon's Vacation Series, Caddyshack) is Jack, a guy who's found the woman of his dreams (glamorous Farrah Fawcett). Too bad her stubborn 11-year-old son, Ben (Jonathan Taylor Thomas from TV's Home Improvement) thinks Jack is a geek! As a test, Ben coaxes Jack into joining the YMCA Indian Guides, led by a wacky suburban dad (George Wendt, Norm from TV's Cheers). Chaos ensues as Jack struggles to prove to Ben that he's not totally uncool! From rain dancing to building a teepee, Jack will do anything to win Ben's approval - and his mom's affection!

Everyone in Castle Rock is curious and thrilled when a new antique shop, called Needful Things, opens its doors. The shop has something for everyone, and its owner, a charming man named Leland Gaunt, seems to know exactly what people desire. He only asks a small favor as the price of his trinkets--that the buyer plays a meaningless trick on one of their neighbors. However, the pranks quickly get out of hand, causing two of the local women to brutally murder each other and the town to erupt with incidents of brutal violence. The only man seemingly unaffected by Leland Gaunt's charm is the town sheriff, Alan Pangborn, who starts a one man crusade to rid the town of this enchanting madman. An explosive confrontation finally brings the town back to its senses and rids it of this evil influence.
