The ABC Family series debuted...
Executive producer Brenda Hampton knows a thing or two about the life of the American teenager. Her family drama 7th Heaven ran for 11 seasons and now her hit ABC Family series The Secret Life of the American Teenager is marking its landmark 100th episode on Monday (8/7c). Secret Life stars Shailene Woodley as a high school student whose life gets turned upside down when she becomes pregnant — and things just get more complicated from there. Hampton took a moment to tell us why we should learn the secrets of The Secret Life.
TV Guide Magazine: It's been 100 episodes. Is the American teenager's life secret anymore?
Brenda Hampton: Oh yeah. Teenagers always have secrets. That's because they're never doing what they're supposed to do. You were a teenager, right? You have secrets from when you were a teen, don't you? No? Liar!
Daren Kagasoff, Shailene Woodley
When Shailene Woodley was cast in ABC Family's The Secret Life of the American Teenager, little did she know she's spend a quarter of her life filming the series.
"When I signed on, I didn't think about award shows, magazines, the amount of episodes, but to get this far and accomplish 100, it's crazy to wrap your head around," Woodley tells TVGuide.com. "The most exciting thing about it is that all of us have seen each other grow and have a lot of first experiences on the show. It's really special to have those kinds of people in your life."
Fox has released the second wave of nominees for the 2012 Teen Choice Awards.
So You Think You Can Dance, Teen Wolf, Revenge and New Girl are a few of the series that were recognized.
Daren Kagasoff, Shailene Woodley
Will The Secret Life of the American Teenager's Ricky and Amy ever walk down the aisle? Star Shailene Woodley says viewers will learn that answer on Monday's episode.
"Amy and Ricky finally make a decision and are finally going to act upon that decision," Woodley tells TVGuide.com. "It's [the moment] everyone has been waiting for."

The Artist, Jean Dujardin
The Artist was the big winner at Saturday's Independent Spirit Awards with four wins, including Best Feature.
In what might be a portent of Sunday's Academy Awards, Jean Dujardin took home to the trophy for Best Male Lead for his portrayal of Hollywood silent era star George Valentin. The French actor recently won a BAFTA, Cannes Film Festival award, SAG and Golden Globe for the role.
Gary Oldman, Leonardo DiCaprio
Just after the Oscar nominations were read on Tuesday morning, Albert Brooks tweeted: "And to the Academy: "You don't like me. You really don't like me." The Drive star seemed to be a near-lock for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination, but his name wound up on the wrong side of the shortlist. "I got ROBBED. I don't mean the Oscars, I mean literally. My pants and shoes have been stolen," he continued to quip on Twitter. But Brooks' omission wasn't the only big shocker.
