Family Guy is making the move to live action with a new variety special set for November.
The tentatively titled Family Guy Presents: Seth & Alex's Almost Live Comedy Show will air Sunday, Nov. 8 at 8:30/7:30c and feature the show's creator Seth MacFarlane and co-star Alex Borstein. MacFarlane and Borstein voice Peter and Lois Griffin, respectively.

I feel like I should be ashamed to admit this, but I freakin' love Family Guy. Oh. My. God. What is wrong with those people?! They get away with more jaw-on-the-floor "did they really just say that?" shizz than any cartoon and every live-action network series that I can recall, and yet, every time every time, people! I'm stunned. While not laughing me arse off, of course.My theory is that Guy flies, much like the Millennium Falcon, under the radar. Fox doesn't promote it too much, it never became huge-huge-huge and nobody in the cast has gone to rehab for press purposes. Hence, the freedom to have a walker-bound septuagenarian pedophile, a greased-up naked deaf guy and a veritable parade of equal-opportunity slurs against every special interest group known to man, woman and Wookiee. The lines were longer than ever at this year's Comic-Con International, the annual celebration of all things geeky. Just ask the thousands of Battlestar Galactica fans who waited en masse outside of Ballroom 20 to see their favorite Cylons and colonials in the flesh. Meanwhile, the queue for New Line's special Snakes on a Plane presentation snaked (ha ha ha) out the door and down the side of the massive convention center. There are only two possible explanations for the sheer number of people who invaded San Diego for that weekend: 1) Nerds have learned how to clone themselves or 2) Geek culture is now mainstream culture. Either way, Comic-Con '06 was one for the ages. Here are some of the highlights and lowlights of the four-day extravaganza.
