Olivia Wilde, Lea Michele, Sela Ward

Every week, editors Adam Bryant and Natalie Abrams satisfy your need for TV scoop. Please send all questions to mega_scoop@tvguide.com.

What can you tell me about House's big 150th episode? — Trisha
ADAM:
The episode, perhaps the best of the season, finally reveals that Thirteen (the returning Olivia Wilde) ended up in prison. It's a shocking story, so we won't give it away, but we will say that she was convicted of one thing, but actually did something some might consider worse. Mitigating factor: She was acting in the best interest of someone very close to her, which moves House so much that he makes an incredible promise that proves that Dr. Crankypants may have a heart after all.

Is there hope for Rachel and Finn on Glee? — Cheryl
ADAM:
"There is [hope], absolutely," Cory Monteith tells us. "That's a very important, very... read more

CSI: NY: Who Does Jo Turn To in Crisis? Her Ex or Mac?

Sela Ward and Sydney Park, CSI: NY

Sela Ward recalls being completely out of her element when she joined the cast of CSI: NY.

CSI: NY returns on a new night with a new face

"I had come from all those relationship shows, where I knew everything about love and breaking up and raising children. And I had to learn really fast about murder and bludgeoning and dismembering and gunshots and all this bloody gore," Ward tells TVGuide.com with a laugh. "So it was really trial by fire. The first couple weeks...  I didn't know what planet I had dropped onto, but now I am just loving it. I'm having a blast."

Even though the two-time Emmy winner has learned the language of a network procedural, she says she still yearns to do character work. This Friday's episode (9/8c on CBS) offers up both when Jo's adopted daughter, Ellie (Syndey Park), is a witness to the murder of the week... read more

And Kinney, who played Diaries werewolf Mason Lockwood, hasn't lost his murderous instinct. He will play Jayson Luck, who attacks and kills someone he believes to be an old man on a subway platform.

Unfortunately for Jayson, the crime is witnessed by Ellie, the daughter of Sela Ward's Jo... read more

Matt's Weekend Picks: January 7-9

William H. Macy, Blake Johnson, Emmy Rossum

CSI: NY (Friday, 9/8c, CBS)
Ever since JAG signed off nearly six years ago, one of the most frequent topics in my mailbag is the hope that David James Elliott (last seen in ABC's short-lived Scoundrels last summer) will find his way back to CBS. For at least one week, his fans get their wish, as Elliott guests as the FBI agent ex-husband of Sela Ward's Jo. (Do we sense a triangle brewing?) In the case of the week, a guy dressed as a clown shoots a bakery owner, and the investigation reveals a skeleton in Det. Flack's past. (Presumably not wearing floppy shoes.)

Keck's Exclusives: A New CSI: NY Guy Spoils Sparks for Mac and Jo

CSI: NY

CSI: NY will kick off 2011 by introducing JAG star David James Elliott as FBI agent Russ Josephson, the ex-husband of Jo (Sela Ward), who will get in the way of the simmering chemistry between Jo and Mac (Gary Sinise). "I think he wants Jo back — and there is electricity," says David of his character, the father of Jo's son, whom we'll meet later this season. "Russ refers to their divorce as ... read more

Keck's Exclusives: JAG's David James Elliott Returns to CBS on CSI: NY

David James Elliott

One of CBS' biggest stars is coming back to the network! David James Elliott, who starred as Cmdr. Harmon "Harm" Rabb, Jr. on JAG from 1995-2005, has been cast on CSI: NY. And it's an awesome role.

David will play Russ Josephson, the ex-husband of Sela Ward's new investigator, Jo Danville. (Expect Jo to crack a joke about being Jo Josephson.) David will debut in an early January episode he is now shooting, and producers tell me there's a possibility he could come back for more... read more

CSI: NY Returns on a New Night with a New Face

CSI: NY

CSI: NY had a unique set of challenges heading into its seventh season. The show was moving to Friday nights, where the writers would have to figure out how to resolve last season's "shot in the dark" cliff-hanger involving serial killer Shane Casey (guest star Edward Furlong) and married CSIs Danny (Carmine Giovinazzo) and Lindsay (Anna Belknap) Messer.

Then series star Melina Kanakaredes, who played Detective Stella Bonasera since the show premiered, quit just weeks before production began. "We had written six scripts over the break," executive producer Pam Veasey tells TVGuide.com. "We developed stories that were ready to prep for shooting, and all of them involved Stella. Then, the fallout happened."

Veasey says after three days of intense phone calls, she found the cloud's silver lining: Emmy and Golden Globe winner Sela Ward signed on to replace Kanakaredes on the show... read more

Lea Michele, Ellen Pompeo, Leighton Meester

Every week, senior editors Mickey O'Connor and Adam Bryant satisfy your need for TV scoop. Please send all questions to mega_scoop@tvguide.com.

Who's zooming who when Glee comes back? — Cathleen
MICKEY:
Finn is all about Rachel in Season 2, according to Lea Michele. "They're very much in love," she tells us, and, brace yourself, kind of into PDA. On the other hand, Jenna Ushkowitz hints at an upcoming romantic tangle for Artie and Tina. "Artie didn't give her what she wanted, so there's a love triangle," she tells us. "She's going to make Artie work for it." Who's the other lucky guy? Two words: Other Asian.

Every week, senior editors Mickey O'Connor and Adam Bryant satisfy your need for TV scoop. Please send all questions to mega_scoop@tvguide.com.

What's Cristina up to when Grey's Anatomy returns? — Jenni
ADAM: She won't be great. While Cristina is usually the rock the other docs lean on, her reaction to the traumatic season finale rampage takes longer to sort out than some of the other surgeons. In fact, when she is finally cleared to go back into surgery, an accident in the OR freaks her out so much that she collapses into a sobbing mess on the floor.

Can we get some more Modern Family scoop? — Rusty
MICKEY: If you were as tickled as we were to discover that Mitchell and Claire were once an figure-skating duo named Fire and Ice, you're going to love the next nugget... read more
