Gary Busey, Former Idol Check into Rehab

As previously reported, VH1 is bringing back Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew for a second season of exploiting chronicling the struggles celebs face while detoxing in a treatment facility. But this time around, there's one huge reason to watch: Gary Busey.Busey, whose wild antics have been well-documented (most recently his crazed behavior on the red carpet at the 2008 Academy Awards), is remarkably not one of the celebs in for treatment. Instead — touting 13 years of sobriety since his cocaine addiction — Busey will be a mentor to the new class of patients which includes Season 1 cast member Jeff Conaway (Grease), Sean Stewart (son of music icon Rod Stewart), model/actress Amber Smith, Rodney King, Guns N' Roses' Steven Adler, Tawny Kitaen and former American Idol wanabe Nikki McKibbin. Here's hoping at least one of his sessions involves teaching the addicts how to yell at teenaged journalists. The series will follow the patients during a 21-day program featuring group and o... read full article

Rod Stewart's Son Enters Celebrity Rehab

Mr. Stewart, the doctor will see you now. Though unconfirmed by VH1, Page Six hears that Sean Stewart, son of singer Rod Stewart, will undergo Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew. The second season of the series, in which Dr. Drew Pinsky helps celebs beat substance abuse and other issues, starts production this month.Young Stewart has had his share of run-ins with the dark side. Last year, for example, he was denied entrance to a trendy L.A. club, so he turned around and began hurling whatever he could find at a passing car, in turn injuring a passenger.Page Six says Pinsky will also help Heidi Fleiss beat her substance abuse problems, while former NBA star Dennis Rodman has been offered an opportunity to see the good doctor. — J.R. Rod Stewart's Brat Acts Out

Maybe we oughta sick Alec Baldwin on him! Denied access to a party over the weekend, Sons of Hollywood golden boy Sean Stewart began throwing crap at a car in which a married couple were presumably laughing their butts off (at least until the missus was cut by broken glass). TMZ says the "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?" singer's offspring is now under investigation for assault with a deadly weapon. Tuesday's news was written by Ben Katner. Thank you, Ben, for being such a fun fill-in! read more

A&E Follows Hollywood's In Crowd

Has anyone checked out A&E's new reality series Sons of Hollywood? I use the term "reality" loosely, of course. I have to wonder, did this all start because Randy Spelling was jealous of big sister Tori's small-screen ventures? Randy, buddy, there's nothing to be envious of, OK? For anyone who hasn't heard of this twisted Real World scenario, it's basically a look at the entertainment industry through the eyes of three young guys who have been living the luxurious Hollywood lifestyle since birth: Randy Spelling (son of the late Aaron Spelling), Sean Stewart (son of musician Rod Stewart) and David Weintraub (a rising talent manager who grew up with the other two). The question is, "Can they make it on their own, or will they always be overshadowed by their famous connections?" I have to say, though, it's hard to take them seriously when most of the show is partying, tanning and acting so sloppy. In fact, I'm not sure if they even realize we're watching. Fights over nothing, money... read more
