Evan Lysacek: Dancing a Chance to "Prove Critics Wrong"

Is Dancing with the Stars' Mirrorball trophy more prestigious than an Olympic gold medal? "It's hard to say. Olympic gold has been my goal for my whole life," newly crowned Olympic champion Evan Lysacek tells TVGuide.com. "But the Mirrorball is very prestigious. I first came into this saying, 'I just want to have fun. I really want to learn to dance because I think it can help my skating.' But as I started rehearsing and the competitive fire is going, I want to win." History is on the figure skater's side: Fellow Olympic gold medalists Shawn Johnson, Apolo Anton Ohno and Kristi Yamaguchi have all won Dancing. Lysacek thinks he has his work cut out for him. "I'm not graceful at all, so it's going to be hard, but I'm ready to put in the time," he says. See what else he has to say about his Dancing experience so far, why he thought his partner would resent him and more.

Apprentice Castoff Scott Hamilton: I'm "Absolutely Grateful" for the Experience

Scott Hamilton has no regrets about participating in NBC's Celebrity Apprentice (Sundays, 9pm/ET). Although his elimination came early, in week two, Hamilton called it a life experience he's "absolutely grateful for." TVGuide.com checked in with the Olympic gold medalist to find out how it was to work with some interesting personalities, who should've been fired, and why he decided to take on Trump's tasks on television.

TVGuide.com: What happened?

Scott Hamilton: My strategy was never to be project manager, especially on a marketing task, so early in the game. When your name comes up from your team and they're looking at you, if you say no, there's blood in the water. They're going to smell it and jump all over you. I felt somewhat trapped, so I did it and I thought I'd make the most of it, and I tried to pull these guys together as a team. I did the best that I could, I made the error that cost our team the win, but when I look back on everything, we were really close.

Although the U.K. mag Reveal claims that "Jake [Gyllenhaal] popped the question during a romantic trip to Rome last October [and] Reese has only just accepted the Brokeback Mountain star's proposal," Witherspoon's rep tells Us, "There's not one ounce of truth to it".... Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds are said to be thisclose to announcing their own wedding plans.... Olympics: Women's Figure Skating...

Olympics: Women's Figure SkatingLike your average Winter Olympics fan, I was hoping the figure skating in Torino (Turin, to you Shroud fans) would feature the Wrath of Kwan, with Michelle finally capturing the elusive gold medal. That was not to be, so all the U.S. pressure falls on Sasha Cohen, who should definitely be played by Alexis Bledel in any potential future TV-movies (the Shaun "Flying Tomato" White gig will, naturally, go to Carrot Top.) Let's just hope the ladies' programs go smoother than the ice-dancing competition, which featured more crashes than your average drivers-education movie. Some of the night's highlights:Kimmie Meissner, U.S.: the second performance of the night sets the tone for the Americans as Meissner nails the combo of a triple lutz into a triple toe-loop. This, apparently, is very hard. Up unt read more
