It's All Action All the Time for The Last Templar's Mira Sorvino and Scott Foley

Scott Foley and Mira Sorvino, The Last Templar

Who needs a stunt double? Not Mira Sorvino in the new globetrotting, treasure-seeking NBC miniseries The Last Templar (Sunday , 9 pm/ET; Monday, 9 pm/ET). The Oscar-winner solved mysteries, kicked ass and definitely felt the pain.

"Five teeth. Five teeth were broken," Sorvino said about her on-set mishap while filming a violent boat scene. But she wasn't the only one suffering on the set.

"During the scene where she lost her or was banged in the teeth we ...

Mega Buzz on Grey's, Heroes, CSI: Miami, 24 and More

Patrick Dempsey (Grey's Anatomy), Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes) and Adam Rodriguez (CSI: Miami)

Senior editors Matt Webb Mitovich and Mickey O'Connor answer your burning questions. All requests for spoilery goodness should be sent to mega_scoop@tvguide.com

After watching the promo for the next episode of Grey's, I must ask: Is there anything for Mer-Der fans to look forward to? You know, other than three women lying in Mer's bed while Derek lives downstairs? — Karen
Matt: Well when you phrase it like that, you make me think that Melissa George's debut this week as Sadie, a college pal of Meredith's, will only further muddle things for the would-be Mr. and Mrs. Shepherd. But maybe not. Consider this: Sadie's arrival will prompt Cristina — who feels displaced by her BFF's old BFF — to be a better sounding board for Derek, and that just might ease the tension in the lovebirds' overcrowded nest. Oh, and speaking of Xtina: Kevin McKidd (Owen) is now a series regular.

When does the next volume start on Heroes? Because "Villains" is turning the show into Heroezzz. (No offense, Tim Kring.) — Charles
Mickey: I hear you, Charles. At this point, I don't even care who is good and who is evil and/or how they got there; I'm just ready to move on. The next volume, titled "Fugitives" and said to be inspired by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, begins in January. It centers on a character called ... read more

I'm growing more and more ...

Question: I'm growing more and more frustrated with CBS' The Unit. I really like the show and I've seen every episode, but there are a couple of things that bother me. It borderline cheats in defying what we've just seen, with some quick little explanation wrap-up at the very end. An example would be Scott Foley's character guarding a guy on his way out of the country for execution, who somehow ends up dead due to a poisoned scarf. And then at the end, it's, "You completed your mission, we couldn't have it look like it was us." I mean, one time OK, two times... OK, but they do this kind of misdirection so often that it cheapens everything. I actually sat here for at least part of last week's episode expecting Hector to not really be dead, that it was all some big scam, because they do this so much that it just makes you unable to suspend disbelief. Which brings me to Hector's death. I realize that you have to see one of them die to bring home the realism of what they face. I'm shocked ... read more

Looking Forward to New Journeys

We wrapped shooting in April. We then had two-and-a-half months off. We actors go our separate ways to discover ourselves in different roles.Michael Irby headed off to New Orleans to shoot a jazz movie featuring Wynton Marsalis. Demore Barnes went back home to Canada and worked on his own film project. Abby Brammell traveled to Bangkok, where her tattooed blues-singing husband was making his acting premiere in a Sylvester Stallone movie.I returned to Dallas to start a home-renovation project. My aunt Virginia currently lives in the atomic ranch-style house as I go back and forth to L.A. I'm moving in another aunt who has a disabled daughter by the end of the year and wanted to make the home wheelchair accessible — ramps, wider doors, a new bathroom — so I find a contractor who says they can knock the job out in three weeks. In my mind I tack on a couple of extra weeks, thinking I'll still have plenty of time to sit on a beach in Tahiti during the remaining hiatus and "rene... read more

Scott Foley and Marika Dominczyk by Jean Baptiste Lacroix/WireImage.com

Scott Foley and Marika Dominczyk gave new meaning to the term “The Unit” when they wed on the island of Lana'i June 5. The wedding party was housed in luxe accommodations at the Four Seasons Resort Lana`i Resort Lodge at Koele as they came together to celebrate the union of The Unit star and the former Brothers & Sisters actress. During the week preceding the nuptials, guests explored the islands, snorkeled with the dolphins and lounged by the pool. Also on tap, guy-time on the golf course. The night prior to the ceremony, a private dinner was served by candle and firelight in the resort's library. When the big day arrived, guests made their way to the Tee Box of the Challenge at Manele Golf Course where they were greeted with white orchid leis (Bill Gates was married on hole 12 of the same course). A conch shell blower announced the beginning of the ceremony as the couple took their places in a sea of white flower petals before a Hawaiian priest. While the sun set, th... read more

The Unit You know, I started out...

The UnitYou know, I started out the evening fairly confident that I wouldn't see anybody shoot a mule, and along comes The Unit to prove me wrong. Note to self: When bearing a load in Afghanistan, do as Dennis Haysbert says. That's pretty much the gist of this new CBS show: Haysbert is Jonas, leader of the country's deadliest covert-ops team, rookie Bob (Scott Foley) and some other guys do as he says, and you and I sleep tight at night. Throw in some home-front scenes as the wives deal with the military lifestyle, the pen of David Mamet (god of theater) and the pull of Shawn Ryan (god of The Shield), and we should have a pretty good hour of TV on our hands, right? Well, kinda. Last night's premiere was just OK — it deli read more
