Exclusive: A Monte Carlo Wedding on The Bold and the Beautiful

Sound the trumpets! Hope Logan has finally made up her mind. Daytime's splashiest soap opera, CBS's The Bold and the Beautiful, went on location to Paris and Monte Carlo to shoot the conclusion of a year-long triangle that has the love-torn heroine (played by Kim Matula) deciding which of two Spencer brothers she's going to wed. Will it be flaky sweetheart Liam (Scott Clifton) or feisty opportunist Wyatt (Darin Brooks)? Spoiler alert! Though Hope is seemingly committed to Liam right now, she will end up married to Wyatt by the end of the episode airing Wednesday, Aug. 13.

This fashion montage, from the soap's Aug. 8 episode, features goddess-in-training Hope Logan (Kim Matula) modeling the Hope for the Future Diamond in the famed Trocadero Gardens, with the Eiffel Tower in the background and one of her lover boys, Wyatt (Darin Brooks), looking on adoringly.

The stars of daytime's No. 2 soap are about to get a big dose of reality: On September 7, CBS's The Bold and the Beautiful will start broadcasting in high definition, a development "that will take our show to a whole new look and level," exec producer Brad Bell tells TV Guide Magazine. "We knew back when we did all that CGI work on the Brookeberries story that it would have been so much better in high-def. Now we've got what we need to really move the show forward. And it's about time because, globally, you need to be high-def. It's now expected that you deliver your product that way." (B&B is the most widely seen daily drama in the world.)

The Bold and The Beautiful was the big winner at the 38th annual Daytime Emmy Awards, taking home the trophy for Outstanding Drama Series for the third consecutive year.

It received four awards altogether, as it also tied in the directing category with another CBS soap, The Young and the Restless, while Heather Tom was named best supporting actress and Scott Clifton won best young actor.
