Saffron Burrows Fast Facts:

Began modeling after being discovered at age 14 by a talent scout (the same one who discovered Naomi Campbell) while shopping in London's Covent Garden.
Made her movie debut in the 1993 British political drama In the Name of the Father.
Was fired from the 1998 Woody Allen movie Celebrity for "not being vulgar enough."
Has appeared in a number of films directed by her former lover, Mike Figgis, including One Night Stand, The Loss of Sexual Innocence, Timecode and Hotel.
A part-time journalist, she has written reviews and articles for such British publications as the Times of London, the Guardian, the Independent and the Spectator.
The daughter of politically active parents, she's an activist herself, and has been an officer of the British organization the National Civil Rights Movement.
