The Wednesday Playlist: Broadchurch, Key & Peele, Survivor

The summer's most gripping series (until Breaking Bad started back up) rushes toward a shattering conclusion as BBC America's Broadchurch presents its penultimate episode (Wednesday, 10/9c), with broken lives and aching hearts on all fronts — including the ailing Hardy's (David Tennant), who won't let his latest collapse keep him from pursuing little Danny's killer: "Don't tell me what my limits are," he barks. As more skeletons are unearthed in this seaside community (and let's hope the mysterious Susan's poor dog isn't one of them), the toll of secrets and suspicion weighs heavy: "Once it's got its claws into you, it never lets go," says one of the many suspects whose world has been rocked by the tragic events and poisonous fallout. Don't let next week's denouement escape you as the new broadcast season gets underway with all of its bells and whistles.

Survivor's Rupert: "The Heroes Had No Hope"

And then there was one. Hero Rupert Boneham may have made it to the final 6 and to his 100th day of Survivor, but most of his fellow Heroes fared much worse this season, sending only teammate (Colby Donaldson) to the finale. As one of the last Heroes standing, Rupert says it was his inability to convince the rest of his tribe to distrust Russell Hantz that hurt the team, as well as the Heroes' lack of unity from the get-go. The 45-year-old also spoke with TVGuide.com about Hantz's ranking among the reality show's biggest villains, teammate Colby's poor performance, and his fool-proof plan to... read more

Survivor's Candice on Flipping to the Villains' Side: "I Totally Messed Up"

Once a cheater, always a cheater? That's what the Survivor Villains thought when it came to new ally Candice Woodcock, who flipped sides and voted with the Villains to stay in the game. Despite her best efforts to show her loyalty, some of her new allies, particularly Jerri Manthey, believed someone who switched sides that easily could not be trusted. Combine those suspicions with the betrayal felt by the two other remaining Heroes, Colby Donaldson and Rupert Boneham, and Candice was swiftly voted out. Woodcock, 27, spoke with TVGuide.com about why she regrets voting Amanda out, the real story behind her alliance with... read more

Survivor's Stephenie: Heroes "Are Definitely Going to Turn into Villains"

After two brutal immunity challenges loses and two dramatic tribal councils, the heroes of Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains are beginning to look less, well, heroic. Despite her alliance with Tom and Colby, Stephenie LaGrossa couldn't save herself from the wrath of Rupert and James. "It's a game, and you want to win, but you want to enjoy your experience out there, because it's miserable as it is," she told TVGuide.com. "And being around people like James and Rupert really did make it unbearable."

Following last night's heated tribal council and her early exit, the 29-year-old also discussed what went wrong during the immunity challenge, the deep divisions within the heroes tribe, and her and Tom's now-defunct plan to... read more

Survivor's Sugar: This is My Payback for Gabon

Two years ago on Survivor: Gabon, Jessica "Sugar" Kiper made it to the final three, thanks in part to the large amount of time she spent on Exile Island. Not only did she find an important hidden immunity idol on the island, but she was able to peacefully remove herself from the competition and make it to the finals without any aggressive strategy. On Survivor: Heroes and Villains, she wasn't so lucky, becoming the first castoff of the new season after getting too close for comfort with some of her fellow Heroes (namely a very irritated Colby). Sugar talked with TVGuide.com about her supposed flirtation with Colby, her emotion after losing the immunity challenge and her failed alliances... read more
