Bono, 43, received the outstanding documentary prize for Becoming Chaz, an OWN special that chronicled his gender transition. He was also given the Stephen F. Kolziak award, which honors a gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgendered member of the entertainment community. Past recipients have included Melissa Etheridge, Ellen DeGeneres and Rufus Wainright. Bono was the first transgender contestant to appear on Dancing with the Stars, which was recognized as Outstanding Reality Program by GLAAD last month.

Bravo's OUTzoneTV.com broadband channel is launching a poll on Friday, Dec. 8, seeking to crown the "Sexiest Gay Celebrity of 2007." In addition to the aforementioned foursome, nominees include Project Runway's Tim Gunn, filmmaker Pedro Almodovar, Scissor Sisters' Jake Shears, Shortbus driver John Cameron Mitchell, decorator-to-Oprah Nate Berkus, former Bassmaster Reichen Lehmkuhl, Portia de Rossi, and singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright. Apparently, T.R. Knight will have to rely on the write-in vote.
Aaron McGruder has announced that he and thus his controversial comic strip, The Boondocks, are taking a six-month vacation starting in March.... Nia Long, Amber Valletta and Kate Nelligan have joined the supernatural thriller Premonition, about a housewife (Sandra Bullock) whose hubby pops up alive the day after dying in a car crash.... Michael Stipe and Rufus Wainwright are among the recording artists who will join activist Cindy Sheehan in Bring 'Em Home Now, a concert to be held March 20 at NYC's Hammerstein Ballroom.
