Describing Hell on Wheels as "Revenge in the mud" makes it sound a lot more enjoyable than it is. AMC's sprawling but heavy-handed attempt to revive and redefine the Western (a newly hot TV-development trend) is solemn business indeed, with precious little wit or originality. (It premieres Sunday at 10/9c.)

Ru Paul
RuPaul's Drag Race, Logo's campy take on America's Next Top Model, may not be as well known as the CW hit, but it's luring some high-profile guest judges that would make other reality shows jealous. When Season 4 of the competition show — which pits drag queens against each other — kicks off in January, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Rose McGowan, Loretta Devine, Kelly Osbourne and...

Rose McGowan
NBC's Law & Order: SVU has conjured up one wicked guest star for an upcoming spring episode. Former Charmed witch Rose McGowan, who played the bewitching Paige on the long-running WB hit, has been cast as another kind of temptress.
"Our episode is called Bombshell and Rose McGowan is the ultimate bombshell," SVU executive producer Neal Baer told me this past weekend at the Writer's Guild Awards. "Rose plays a grifter named Cassandra who strikes swinging men who frequent sex clubs. And we're very excited to have her."
The 37-year-old beauty...

If Wanteds Angelina Jolie seems badass Robert Rodriguez is upping the ante with a remake of Red Sonja starring Rose McGowan as the vengeful comic-book icon The film which centers on a woman whos hell-bent on avenging her familys deaths will revisit the graphic vixens tale on the big screen The original Sonja 1985 starred modern-day icons of sorts with Brigitte Nielsen as the red-head and Arnold Schwarzenegger as the muscle-y pre-Governator Kalidor Neither Rodriguez nor McGowan is new to such dark material but is this a story youre ready to see play out again For some of us it invites a viewing of the original cinematic take before a modern-day opinion can be slashed together Anna DimondMore Movie News149 Its All Greek Gods and Titans Battling to the Finish149 The Dark Knight to Pay Tribute to Ledger

Rose McGowan by Tony Barson/WireImage.com
Fox is still pondering Prison Break: Cherry Hill.HBO and Alan Ball are bringing Bad Girls across the pond. But lest the tube not have enough women-in-prison drama, the Reporter says that film auteur Robert Rodriguez is shopping around Women in Chains! (yes, with the bang), a "violent drama" fronted by no less than his fiancée, Rose McGowan (whom he met and fell in love with on the Planet Terror set). Currently being eyed by networks such as NBC and FX, WiC! would be directed by R-Rod and feature "1970s exploitation" touches like mud wrestling. I know, you're like, "What is NBC waiting for?!" Rose McGowan, The Essentials and Grindhouse Presents: Death Proof
While The Essentials (Saturdays at 8 pm/ET, TCM) is all about celebrating classic cinema, the series gets a very contemporary cohost tonight when Charmed vet and cult-film favorite Rose McGowan joins Robert Osborne to discuss March's top-notch titles, starting with 1969's The Apartment. She can also be seen this weekend in Quentin Tarantino's 2007 action flick, Grindhouse Presents: Death Proof (Saturday at 9 pm/ET, Starz), and from what we can tell, this lovely and well-informed Rose is capable of rising to any occasion.
TV Guide: With your edgy résumé, this isn't a gig most folks would imagine you doing.Rose McGowan: Misconceptions abound about me. I guess I'm not one of those people who demystifies everything by discussing their personal life. But there are different aspects to me and I've been really obsessed [with film] for as long as I can remember.

Alana De La Garza, CSI: Miami
Are Horatio Caine and Marisol Delko heading for a wedding on CBS' CSI: Miami (Mondays at 10 pm/ET)? Perhaps even en route to "happily ever after"? Or, in light of the nasty line of work that the good lieutenant is in, might this story go from a vow... to a kill? TVGuide.com rang Alana De La Garza, who plays Horatio's lady love, to get up to speed on CSI: Miami, a possible Smallville encore and her other TV adventures.
TVGuide.com: We go back a few years, Alana, and you haven't been keeping me posted on your TV gigs this season. Instead, I get press releases saying, "Alana's do
