Nirvana, KISS and Cat Stevens are among the acts who will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next year, the organization announced Tuesday.
They will be joined by Hall and Oates, Peter Gabriel and Linda Ronstadt at theApril 10 ceremony at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
Andy Johns, a music producer and sound engineer for such bands as Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones and Van Halen, died Sunday. He was 61.
Johns had been hospitalized for about 10 days prior to his death. "Andy's health wasn't all that great over the last six months or so, but he was still Andy," guitarist Stacey Blades, who was working on a project with Johns, told CNN.

"When we made the decision to pull the plug on Luck while they were in production on the second season, we did not have a backup plan," Michael Lombardo, HBO's president of programming, told reporters at Television Critics Association fall TV previews on Wednesday. "We have new shows coming up next year, but we did not have anything ready for that period." Both series will air their 10-episode second seasons with originals running through March.
