The fourth and final film in THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN series. The leader of the "Seven" (Lee Van Cleef) is now married and settled down as marshal of a small town. When a psychopathic teenage killer robs a bank, wounds Van Cleef and then kidnaps, sexually molests and kills his wife (Mariette Hartley), Van Cleef's "peaceful" life is destroyed. He accepts a new "mercenary" assignment: to protect a small Mexican town from a vicious gang that has already killed all the men in the town. Kane becomes a marshal of Lordsburg and falls in love with a dance hall girl, Lily Beloit. When John Behan and Jesse Boone tries to kill Kane, Lily warns Kane of this. He arrests Boone and uses him as bait when he finds out that he is the son of Frank Boone.
After his son is murdered, an aging deputy (Robert Mitchum) puts on his badge and is joined by a young ex-gunfighter (Robert Walker, Jr.) to pursue the killer. Fate will lead to a deadly confrontation with another young gunfighter (David Carradine.)
