Sam and Dean infiltrate the world of LARPers as they work a regular monster-of-the-week case that reconnects them with Charlie from Season 7's "The Girl with the Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo." Yes, live action role-playing is the name of the game and Supernatural went all out to bring it to life. Time for a trip to Moondoor.
Charlie isn't the only one to make a return engagement in "LARP and the Real Girl" (although it was really great to see her working with the boys once again). We were also reunited with Adorkable Dean. Emphasis on "dork." Well, emphasis on "adorable" too. I love, love, love that he's able to channel his inner geek and tap into his fun side for this case. At first, you can tell this Larping thing intrigues him but he keeps his interest on the down low. He has a rep to protect, after all. Soon, he's giving Charlie some strategy advice and when he dons that handmaiden outfit, it's all on.

"Sorry, Sam, you are well and truly alone."
That taunt at the end of last year's Supernatural finale sets up the psychological drama for Season 8, which kicks off Wednesday (9/8c, The CW). Sam and Dean Winchester (Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles) reunite in the premiere, but all is not as it once was. It's been a year since they've fought evil together, and each of the brothers have spent that time in very different, life-altering ways.

They're also going to be trying to salvage and sustain their marriage."

Supernatural returns for its seventh season Friday at 9/8c on The CW with two burning questions: What do you do when you become God? And what do you do when you're the new God's former best friends?
After ingesting all of the souls and their powers in Purgatory last season, Castiel (Misha Collins) declared himself the new God and demanded Sam and Dean Winchester (Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles) bow down before him ... or die. Although the brothers have encountered and even defeated their share of demons, angels and other non-humans before, God is a different story.

Supernatural's war in Heaven is upon us as the series airs its two-part finale on Friday (8/7c on The CW), and showrunner Sera Gamble promises some deaths, Sam's long-awaited breakdown and "a lot of Castiel" in both episodes.
Gamble wrote the night's first episode, "Let It Bleed," which introduces a new player -- at least historically -- into the series. Apparently, the late, real-life horror writer H.P. Lovecraft is somehow mixed up in the Winchesters' battle to keep Purgatory at bay. Anyone familiar with his Chthulu mythos will recognize that his terrifying creations fit right in with the Supernatural world.
