TNT on Monday revealed its ambitious plan to change most of its weekday prime-time schedule to original fare by the year 2010. Robert Redford and director Barry Levinson are in talks to venture on A Walk in the Woods, in a big-screen adaptation of the best-selling travelogue by Bill Bryson.... Channing Tatum (She's the Man) will play a key member of the G.I. Joe crew in Stephen Sommers' live-action take on the Hasbro hero. Speaking of the future Mr. Katie Holmes, Tom Cruise is thisclose to making his first purchase as co-owner of United Artists, says the Hollywood Reporter. And the winner is... Lions for Lambs, a drama set in Afghanistan that would star Cruise (duh) and Out of Africa leads Robert Redford and Meryl Streep. Redford is also set to direct, meaning there's a 50/50 chance he got invited to the wedding.... Per Variety, MGM expects to begin production on new installments of its James Bond, Pink Panther and The Thomas Crown Affair franchises in 2007.... Beach Boy Brian Wilson has made a deal with producer Mark Gordon to tell his life story in a feature film.

A rep for Ben Affleck tells the New York Daily News that, contrary to a rumor going around, there are no plans for the actor and best bud Matt Damon to remake Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid — which is good, because when asked about the very notion at his Sundance Film Festival this week, Robert Redford literally groaned and muttered some not-nice words.... Mickey Rooney and Dick Van Dyke will play villains in the increasingly fun-sounding comedy Night at the Museum, starring Ben Stiller, Kim Raver and Carla Gugino....
