With five wins each, Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift received more trophies than any other individuals at the Teen Choice Awards.

Gomez was named Choice TV Actress (for Wizards of Waverly Place) and Choice Female Hottie. With her band, the Scene, Gomez also picked up the Choice Music: Group, Choice Music: Single (for "Who Says") and Choice Music: Love Song (for "Love You Like a Love Song") plaudits. Swift, meanwhile, was named Choice Music: Female Artist, Choice Music: Female Country Artist, Choice Red Carpet Fashion Icon: Female, in addition to picking up awards for Choice Music: Country Single ("Mean") and Choice Break-Up Song ("Back to December")...

Twilight, Glee, Vampire Diaries Lead Teen Choice Awards Nominations

Twilight Saga: Eclipse leads the first wave of the Teen Choice Awards nominations that Fox announced Wednesday.

The latest film in the series, Eclipse racked up 12 nominations, including Choice Movie: Sci-Fi/Fantasy.  Stars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are both up for Choice Movie Actor: Sci-Fi/Fantasy, while Kristen Stewart will be competing for Choice Movie Actress: Sci-Fi/Fantasy. Stewart will compete against herself in the Choice Movie: Liplock category. She's nominated with both Lautner and Pattinson. Last year, The Twilight Saga: New Moon topped the awards with 12 wins.

Twilight Dominates Again at MTV Movie Awards

For the third year in a row, the cast of Twilight spent much of the 2011 MTV Movie Awards on stage as the film won a total of five popcorn trophies.

Stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson won the best female and male performance awards (this is the third consecutive year for Stewart; the second for Pattinson.) The pair also took home the award for best kiss for the third year running, though Pattinson celebrated by running into the audience and kissing co-star Taylor Lautner.

Think Twilight influences pop culture? Check out the 2010 list of the most popular baby names.

The Social Security Administration revealed on the Today show Isabella was the top name for girls last year, while Jacob was the most popular name among boys. Isabella, called Bella for short, is the lead character in the Twilight book series and is portrayed by Kristen Stewart on-screen. While Bella's vampire boyfriend Edward, played by Robert Pattinson, didn't make the cut, Bella's best friend-werewolf Jacob (Taylor Lautner) did. The series' fans are either in the Team Edward or Team Jacob camp, but clearly Team Jacob won in the baby-naming arena.

Harry Potter, Twilight Face Off at MTV Movie Awards

It's all about Harry Potter and Twilight at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards as the boy wizard takes on Edward Cullen in several categories including best movie, the network announced Tuesday.

Twilight: Eclipse led with eight nominations, followed by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, which got seven. The two will compete with Inception, The Social Network and Black Swan for the top prize.

Rio Tops Box Office, Breaks Record for 2011

Rio soared to the top spot at the box office for a second week, making it the top-grossing  release of 2011 so far, Box Office Mojo reports.

The Fox animated film, featuring the voices of Anne Hathaway and Jesse Eisenberg, took in $26.8 million in its second weekend, bringing its worldwide total to $286 million. Rio fended off new release Tyler Perry's Madea's Big Happy Family, which brought in $25.8 million and took second place for the weekend.
