Breakout Kings Is Not the New Prison Break, Producers Say

Jimmi Simpson and Serinda Swan

Breakout Kings may sound like a reincarnation of Prison Break — the executive producers are the same and a Prison Break character will even appear on the A&E series — but producers Nick Santora and Matt Olmstead insist it is not the same show.

"It's a completely different show," Santora said at Friday's Television Critics Association's winter preview sessions. "It's really not about people breaking out of prison; it's about... read more

But the truth comes out when a woman dressed like a 1950s starlet is found murdered in an alley. Heroes Finale Preview: Showdown at the Carnival

Hayden Panettiere and Jack Coleman, Heroes

If Heroes' previous season finales have taught viewers anything, it's that they can expect to see most of the superpowered good guys come together to bring down the villain.

Heroes: Will Lydia's death spell disaster for Samuel?

Robert Knepper, who plays this season's power-hungry, carnival-leading baddie, Samuel, promises more of the same in Monday's Season 4 send-off. But for Samuel, it's no more Mr. Nice Guy.

"Samuel never went up to Hiro [Masi Oka] and Peter [Milo Ventimiglia] and said, 'You're going to work for me.' He made them realize something about themselves that they needed to realize and hopefully they would thank Samuel," Knepper tells TVGuide.com. "There was this manipulative approach that didn't work out how he wanted it to work out. In the end, he's going to say ' ... I'm going to get you back. I'm going to show you my true colors — you're now working for me.' And if they don't, there's going to be a price to pay."

Claire Bennett (Hayden Panettiere) and her father (Jack Coleman) have already gotten a taste of what Samuel's willing to do ... read more

Heroes: Will Lydia's Death Spell Disaster for Samuel?

Dawn Olivieri, Heroes

Naturally, Dawn Olivieri was bummed when she found out Lydia, her character on Heroes, was being killed off.

But she also saw the bright side: Lydia's death could blow the lid off twisted carnival leader Samuel's master plan.

"My death was a chance for the audience to see just how far he's willing to go," Olivieri tells TVGuide.com. Lydia — a tattooed empath who can see into any person's soul — was the second member of the carnival to fall victim to Samuel (Robert Knepper), who earlier in the season killed his own brother and set forth with his egomaniacal plot.

Heroes: Will Hiro and Charlie Meet Again?

Masi Oka

As his life hung in the balance on last week's Heroes, Hiro was confronted by the important characters from his past in his subconscious. Well, most of those people.

Missing in action, of course, was Charlie (Jayma Mays), his significant other who is lost in time. But, with three episodes left in the season, that doesn't mean a reunion for the pair is out of the cards yet.

"Let's put it this way: He has to ...

Heroes: Will Hiro and Charlie Get Their Happy Ending?

Robert Knepper and Masi , Heroes

Heroes kicks off November sweeps Monday with the reunion of one of the show's most memorable, if tragically separated, couples: Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka) and Charlie Andrews (Glee's Jayma Mays).

Check out photos of the Heroes cast

The duo's brief love affair began in Season 1, but was brought a drastic halt when Sylar (Zachary Quinto) split Charlie's skull to steal her power. Hiro later traveled back in time to prevent Charlie's murder, and though he was successful, she eventually died from a blood clot in her brain. Now facing his own death by brain tumor, Hiro has set out to cross Charlie's name off his bucket list by saving her once and for all. So, will the third time be the charm?

"I think Hiro's learned a little bit more about what he can and can't do," Oka tells TVGuide.com. "There's definitely something he knows and there's the people he's met as well. He's tried over and over again to save Charlie, but this time he has different kind of knowledge that definitely will help out."

Mays says... read more
