Stars Boris Karloff as a kindly doctor whose noble experiments go awry, causing much death and despair. In this outing, the elderly Dr. Garth (Karloff) searches for a cure for mortality via plasma injections. Sentenced to death for a mercy killing, Garth is allowed to continue his experiments in prison.

Best friends and former Pony Express riders Tennessee Colby (Don "Red" Barry) and Tommy Logan (Malcolm McTaggart) move to the town of Adobe Wells, where Colby is made the deputy marshal while Tommy becomes a gun for hire and joins a gang of robbers headed by outlaw Walt Bledsoe (Clancy Cooper). Despite his attempts to protect Tommy, Colby is forced to pursue his friend, much to the dismay of his girlfriend (Lynn Merrick), who is Tommy's sister.
