The turtles have defeated their nemesis Shredder and are still forced to hide in the depths of the subway system. April brings them gifts to cheer them up and one of them is a time traveling device which takes the turtles and April back to feudal Japan. The turtles must fight to free the village and find a way home. Starring Elias Koteas ("Gattaca," "Shooter"), Paige Turco ("The Game Plan," "Invincible"), and Vivian Wu ("The Pillow Book," "The Last Emperor").

The Turtles have been forced to move in with their friend the news reporter April O'Neil, because the Foot Clan knows the whereabouts of their lair in the sewers. While the Turtles are looking for a new home, they encounter a pizza delivery boy, Keno, who is trying to fight off a band of robbers. The Turtles intervene and help him. The turtles learn that Shredder is not dead and that he is searching for the green ooze that created them. Shredder hopes to create a group of mutant animals to use against the turtles. So the turtles have to prove again that they are the better ninja fighters. Four baby turtles come in contact with a mysterious substance called ooze and then are transformed into human sized crime fighters. The leader of the turtles is a human size rat who has come into contact with the same green ooze. The rat was a former pet of a ninja master and therefore uses his skills to train the four turtles in martial arts. They befriend a local journalist and with her help attempt to find the group behind a crime wave in New York City. Starring Josh Pais ("The Station Agent," "A Beautiful Mind"), Elias Koteas ("Zodiac," "Fallen"), and Judith Hoag ("Armageddon," "Cadillac Man").
