Rita Russell

Answering a desperate late night call for help, Chris arrives at an abandoned industrial plant to find Rita's sometime boyfriend Eric Russell mortally wounded by a gunshot to the chest. Yet, after he's unable to keep the gunman and his driver from escaping, Chris returns to find Eric's body is gone. As Rita vows to find his attacker, federal agent Pete Santos claims Eric was involved in gun running with Australian expatriate Lena Krell. And when they're shown a photograph of Eric with Johnny Almendarez, another ex-NYPD now working for Krell, Chris recognizes him as the shooter.

With Junie's death now another in Herzog's grisly series of videos, Angel positively identifies Tommy as the man who kidnapped her friend. Realizing she needs a job to escape working the streets, Atticus then hires Angel to do deliveries for him. But, as she is celebrating her first day on the job, she is picked up by Herzog and spirited back to his loft. After Angel is also mutilated and killed, Rita is approached by Eric Russell, an ex-cop-turned-writer and authority on serial killers. Though Eric claims he has been tracking her killer for years, Rita refuses to cooperate, until ordered to by Lipschtz.
