Jake Gyllenhaal, Nicole Kidman and Natalie Portman are among the first presenters announced Monday by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for the upcoming Golden Globe Awards.
The organization additionally revealed that Antonio Banderas, Clive Owen, Melissa McCarthy, Salma Hayek and Frieda Pinto will join the trio as presenters on Sunday.
Zooey Deschanel, New Girl and Christian Slater, Breaking In
Watch your back, Zooey Deschanel. You've got some serious competition. "I'm adorkable," Megan Mullally announced to reporters at Fox's winter TV previews Sunday."There will be two."
The Emmy winner is the latest addition to Fox's comedy slate as a new series regular on Breaking In, which returns for a second season in March immediately following, you guessed it, New Girl. Mullally was joined on the panel by co-star Christian Slater, Deschanel and New Girl creator Liz Meriwether and Raising Hope's Martha Plimpton and Garrett Dillahunt with creator Greg Garcia. Funny group, right? Here are...
Mariska Hargitay, Joel McHale
First, the good news: Mariska Hargitay will be back for another season of Law & Order: SVU, and Community will "definitely" return to the lineup this spring.
Hargitay delivered the news Friday — via a pre-taped clip with just-announced SVU guest star Harry Connick Jr. — to reporters gathered for NBC's winter TV previews. "I'll be back," Hargitay told Connick. "I can't leave this show. I'm having too much fun."
Ricky Gervais says when he returns as host of the Golden Globes on Jan. 15, he's doing it his way — again.
"I do it my way, I get finality on everything ... and they won't know what I'm going to say until I say it," Gervais told Matt Lauer.
Gervais took a lot of heat for his jokes at last year's ceremony, and although he said he would never host the show again, he later changed his mind. "What tipped the balance was all the people that said I'd never be back," he says.
Who will he offend this year? Ricky Gervais to host Golden Globes again
But the comedian stands by his jokes. "What did I say that was untrue? I said that Robert Downey Jr. spent some time in clinics and he did. I'm not judging him by that; it's a joke," he says. "The controversy is irrelevant to me."
He also says he becomes another person in front of audiences. "The guy on stage is lot brasher, more arrogant, more confident than me. I take a deep breath and go out with swagger."
Rainey Qualley, the daughter of actress Andie MacDowell, has been named Miss Golden Globe, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced.

Chris Hemsworth, Lucy Hale, Charlie Sheen
For both Charlie Sheen and Twitter, 2011 was the year of the tiger (blood).
Both Sheen and the stuff he says runs through his veins made Twitter's list of hot topics for 2011. Sheen, who had a busy year after being fired from Two and a Half Men, is listed as the No. 1 most talked about actor, followed by...
Alan Cumming is a perfect choice to host the 2011 Britannia Awards (Sunday at 8/7c on TV Guide Network). I mean, the man won a Tony Award for playing an emcee (for Cabaret in 1998)! Plus, the Scottish actor has other skills relevant to the gig — just ask him. "I'm a little bit cheeky and a little bit mischievous," he says. "I'm quite good on my feet."
It's a good thing too, because Cumming's packed schedule — including his ongoing gig on The Good Wife, which shoots in New York — made it difficult to find time to fly to Los Angeles to host the show, let alone prepare what he will say. "It kind of keeps me on my toes and kind of feels like doing theater without having to do a play for six months," he says. "I have no script yet, but I enjoy the last minute-ness of it."

Cumming promises that he won't be nearly as controversial as that other biting awards show host from across the pond. "I think it's a Scottish thing to...

Ricky Gervais will host the Golden Globe Awards for a third time, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced Wednesday.
Ricky Gervais doesn't think he went too far at Golden Globes
The announcement comes as somewhat of a surprise after The Office creator and UK series star delivered a hard-hitting monologue last year that included zingers aimed at...
