Per the Hollywood Reporter, a federal judge ruled on Wednesday that Universal can release Alpha Dog as planned on Jan. 12, despite objections from murder suspect Jesse James Hollywood, on whom the film is based. Hollywood's attorney plans to file an appeal with the 9th Circuit Court, contending that Alpha Dog (starring Justin Timberlake, Bruce Willis, Sharon Stone and Amber Heard) will make it impossible for his client to get a fair trial.... Ed Harris is in talks to play the former partner of Samuel L. Jackson's crime-scene cleanup man in Renny Harlin's crime thriller Cleaner.... Skating with Celebrities Well, as soon as Jillian Barberie fell during her free-skate routine with John Zimmerman, I knew it was over. That was really too bad, because I was rooting for them. But let's back this thang up to the beginning. The hour (again, this could have all been decided in 15 minutes, but that's a pointless argument) started off with the two final pairs dancing their favorite routines. Jillian and John performed to that Pink song, which was a good choice for them; Kristy and Lloyd skated to Edwin McCain's "I'll Be." Charlie Murphy wants people to know he's no Frank Stallone or Tito Jackson. He's no "not-as-famous-sibling" gimmick. Judging by the sales for Chappelle's Show DVDs, many may already be well aware of this. After spending more than a decade in the shadow of his superstar brother, Eddie, Murphy's antics as a cast member on Chappelle's have finally made him his own man.
