Artfully directed by Richard Benjamin, Racing with the Moon is a film so tender, so insightful, so full of heart that you'll never quite forget it. This is the story of Henry 'Hopper' Nash (Sean Penn) and his buddy Nicky (Nicolas Cage) enjoying their last boyish exploits before they enter the Marines. Elizabeth McGovern portrays Penn's mysterious girlfriend. What ensues is a tender, bittersweet tale of lost innocence and the trauma of growing up too fast. The result is a magic moment, brilliantly captured within the emotional crosscurrent of America's most dramatic time.

Narrated by Sean Penn and based on the work of media critic and best- selling author Norman Solomon, who traveled with Penn to Baghdad just before the war to call attention to the dangers of a U.S. invasion, WAR MADE EASY reaches into the Orwellian memory hole to expose 50 years of government spin and media collusion that has dragged our country into one war after another from Vietnam to Iraq. With remarkable archival footage of official distortion and exaggeration from LBJ to George W. Bush, the documentary exposes how presidential administrations of both parties have relied on a combination of deception and media complicity to sell one war after another to the American people. Giving special attention to parallels between Vietnam and Iraq, WAR MADE EASY sets government spin and media collusion from the present alongside virtually identical patterns from the past, guided by Solomon s meticulous research and tough-minded analysis. Rare footage of political leaders and journalists from the past includes Presidents Lyndon Johnson and Richard Nixon, Defense Secretary Robert McNamara and news correspondents Walter Cronkite and Morley Safer.

In this darkly karmic vision of Arizona, a man who breathes nothing but ill will begin a noxious domino effect as quickly as an uncontrollable virus kills. As he exits Arizona State Penn after twenty-one long years, Wilson (Robert Forster) has only one thing on the brain, leveling the score with career criminal Mackey Willis (Robert Loggia). As eccentric and intuitive as he is vicious, Mackey's own perfected criminal games will play right into the path Wilson has set for him. With the help of a prison bus driver, Lee Marvin (Richard Roundtree), Wilson acts as a catalyst, putting a plan into action that will bring an untimely end to Mackey Willis. The problem is, nothing goes exactly as planned. Meanwhile, an aimless bunch of Arizona twenty-nothing are cooking up a heist that will lead them to the same bank, with different intentions. Skilled at nothing beyond drinking, doing drugs and attending strip clubs, their plan is destined for immediate failure. Heavily armed, with a single identifiable clue, these boys are blind as they are impulsive. With plans loosely angled inward, the vengefully mystical presence of the Sonoran landscape will have its way.
